As the title states, I'm 6 days away from my Townhall being level 9. My lab is finishing Pekka 3s in a few hours and all I have left to upgrade as a TH8 are Golem and Valk to level 2. I currently have 77,000DE and just about full elixer.
My question is: Do I begin a Golem 2 upgrade now (60,000DE), or save the DE to make sure I start TH9 with max DE for AQ upgrades? I'm pretty sure I could make 40k in time for TH9 but not sure about more than that.
If u think u can farm that 40k d.e for her majesty after the golem II upgrade is started before u r th9, then sure u should start the Golem II upgrade.
Save it for level 1 and 2 AQ. (62k DE) Them farm DE like crazy.
Whichever your more likely to use
Being an almost maxed out TH8 myself and going through a similiar dilemma recently, I would personally get your Golem 2 out of the way first.
I myself have just last week raised 60,000 dark elixir and upgraded to golem 2 and am glad I did so. Within 3 days I was able to raise over 40,000 more DE with relative ease for my Hog level 4 upgrade.
My original thinking was should I keep it for AQ, or is there enough DE out there to try and upgrade other things now and still be able to raise enough DE for the AQ when I need to. In my humble opinion you can upgrade now and 6 days is more than enough to raise enough DE for your AQ.
I was on the same scenario. I did upgrade Golem to 2. You can easily save up on the remaining DE. The Queen is very good in sniping DE storages so that should not be a problem.

Just went through the same situation, except I was 7.5 days until TH9 upgrade was complete when I found myself with 60k DE. Like you I felt comfortable in my ability to get back to 40k DE, but unsure if I'd get enough to start AQ2 right off. I ended up starting the upgrade, since I planned on doing nightly raiding anyhow, and didn't want to see any adze wasted. Plus, it's a relief to have a level on those golems.
Now just over 3 days to TH9 I'm back up to 38k DE. Even if I fall short on the DE for her 1st upgrade right away, I'd consider it a fair trade.
Can u please tell me some tips and tricks to raise DE for King and troops upgrade. I don't use dark troops much to save DE for upgrades.Quote:

There are lots of upgrades in TH9 that all take 10 days+. You won't want to be using that time on your Golem that you could have had earlier. Plus, it's easy to farm d.e when you have less because you will get raided for less so it's easier to retain.
I have had no trouble raising the d.e for my AQ upgrades so far.

GOWIPE is awesome, I have been using it very successfully in war against much higher bases and picking up plenty of stars.
I find some in Gold 1 but if I really need it, I go to Crystal 3.Quote:
