Upon further review, loot, and the loot system behind it still SUCK

1 gem boosts.

lix for walls restricted to level 8 and up.

10% of up to 4 million available from storages.

None of these are helping. None of these have improved the game's loot.

Lix for walls should at LEAST be restricted to lvl 9 and up walls, forcing people to save over 3 million LIX before they can dump it. Restricting to lvl 8 walls, which cost 1 million does NOT help our economy at all. We still dump our lix. Thus forcing would be attackers to NEXT due to WAYYYYY too many bases with 50-60k of resources, or LESS.

The lix for walls, combined with the horrible 10% loot system, which has NEVER worked, has destroyed our economy. Does it make sense to restrict the amount available from storages, when you allow every base to dump off all of their resources to near-zero, and never have to hold much more than 1 mill of each resource???

THIS is why we all NEXT so much and grow frustrated with COC.

1 gem boosts are once again just a band aid. This fixes nothing.

One of two things needs to happen:
The loot system needs to be changed, where the 10% system needs to be raised to 15% or so. Or, sorry TH8 whiners, the lix for walls needs to go away COMPLETELY.

We've been suffering with this horrible loot system long enough. Time to TRULY fix it, SC. Stop being so stubborn, admit and address the problem that the loot system is, and fix it. Give us back our old system that WORKED!!

1m for walls is fine. They should change the loot penalty and the "next button fee", It's killing me. Th10 with the huge loot penalty and 1k for each skip

Agree on walls, but I think you meant lv 10 walls. Lavas are lv 10, they cost $3 million each. Elixir should not be an option until you have only those walls left. Letting players dump elixir $1 million at a time is still making elixir hard to find. Because so many players have already spent it.

At the moment the 1 gem boosts are skewing things, when that passes things should settle down and improve.

Every time I get attacked, there is around 1 million gold, 800k elixr and 8k de up for grabs.
They think they've hit the holy Grail.

I have full storages and full cc, with nothing to spend it on.

Wall prices are fine, anyone who wants high level walls enough will farm to get them. Supercell will also never lower the wall prices, the elixir for walls was to address the wall costs.

I would like to see 15%. And 3m lv10 walls up with elix only.

However, complaints about 10% started well before lix for walls.

There shouldn't be all ranges of people dumping all of both resources into walls all of the time. Late TH wall grinders yes, but everyone got stuff to pay for, though i do think 3m would be better.
Saying that though, i rarely log off showing 200k available of both. If half mil or less away, especially gold, id squeeze that extra raid to finish it off, so that doesnt even help that much.

the past 3 days have been the best raiding I've ever seen, member since january 2014. stop whining, look harder and vary your leagues, talk to your clan mates; see where the loot is at. if you want something, you have to go out and get it. Complaining on message boards will not help. Lose the self-entitelment that is plaguing your generation and stop being such a tool.

The loot problem is caused by the rate loot is brought into the economy versus how fast it is taken out. Getting rid of elixir for walls would technically help by making it so that less elixir is being removed, but then again so would making it so that all buildings and spells cost only gold. Then no one would ever spend elixir on anything but troops and we would all have too much of the garbage. There really needed to be another elixir sink. Most of the game was spent with completely full elixir storages at all town hall levels. I can see raising the wall level from 9 to 10 so that people must save 3 million at a time, but there should be some place to spend elixir other than on wastefully expensive armies.

As for storages, they really don't need to be a higher percent. Storages don't create loot. The loot problem cannot be fixed by making it easier to transfer loot from one player to another. There needs to be more loot. Loot needs to be created (not simply transferred). Raising collector level and league bonus are actual attempts at fixing the loot situation (as would bringing back more inactive bases). Raising how much you can take from another player's storage does not help the overall economy at all.

Personal curiosity, when people make posts like yours do they actually think that because they had really good luck raiding that it means everyone in their trophy range had the same luck? Do you think that if you find 10 amazing raids in a row it is because SC suddenly released 10,000 bases so that everyone playing in your trophy range could find amazing loot all at the same time?

Your finding amazing loot means that those bases were not available to others. Loot did not suddenly become the best it has ever been in the past 3 days. You had a lucky streak. That lucky streak corresponds with other people's unlucky streaks because you got more than your fair share of great bases leaving less than average for them.

I congratulate you. It is great to have good days and I am happy for you that you had such a positive experience. But your advice is completely useless. That's what's plaguing your generation. You don't understand that what happens to you is not happening to everyone else at the same time.

They did add an extra collector level.
They raised league bonuses. Significantly at higher levels.
Raising storage % would raise the average available loot on all those bases you dont want to next past.
In short, you want more dead bases.
This isnt going to happen.

Yes, I brought up raising collector levels and league bonuses because those were changes that brought more loot into the economy (and thus helped the loot problem). More changes like that are good. If loot is still bad, then we clearly need more ways for loot to flow into the system. Raising storage percentage has no net effect. You steal more form me, I steal more back. Nothing is accomplished. The answers to poor loot are never going to be found in transferring loot from one active player to another. We need more loot creation or more access to the bases of people that no longer log in (and thus won't use the higher storage percentage to just steal it back from another active player continuing the cycle).

The raising storage % was to address your other issue, the impact of nexting over poor bases impacting on fun.

That is does, the impact on saving gold is there but not overly significant. Nexting is mostly just painful and boring.

The rate of loot is fine. It is higher than it has ever been with more bases being maxed than, say, 15 months ago, and the fact that they have added another collector AND increased the highest level.

guess what? Loot is worse than it has ever been. How is this possible?

as i said in the original post, it's because the loot system doesn't work, and the lix for walls exposed how bad the loot system is.

15% of up to 2 million... Imagine the possibilities.

And yes, if we could get more from storages, it would help greatly. It would save us on NEXTing costs for one... But besides that, all of the loot in those storages is just going to get blown on other stuff anyway. Allowing a better percentage to be taken from storages that do not contain an obscene amount would also make the game more fun and less frustrating from having to next through so much garbage with 5k... 10k... 20k...

Who doesn't want more FUN in a game that they enjoy playing????

Serious question, why did the 10% change happen? It is just too low to make most bases viable targets.....

1.) The Problem of the loot System is that with 12 hour shields a Player can be only attacked twice a day. On the other Hand the average Player attacks much more often than that. So at the Moment there are more attackers that bases that can be attacked.
This leads to the Situation that all good bases are attacked by the first Player, the average bases are attacked after a few Players nexting and only the worst bases with no loot and th inside stay in the Queue. If you are nexting 50 times you are seeing 49 of These worst bases and only a few fresh bases.

The only way to fix the loot System is reducing shield times. Than you will see more average and good bases and not only the worst.

2.) The Problem with elixir for walls was that all th7s, th8s and low th9s have spent their elixir on walls, so the high th7s, th8s and th10s got not loot. Now only th9 can spend elixir on lvl9+ walls. th8s cant spend elixir on walls, because they can only build lvl8 walls. Only elixir of high th9s and high th10s decreases and These are not the bases where most of the Players get their loot, because to even pay your troops a high th9 must have at least 300K elixir available because if the base is not total ♥♥♥♥ you will only get 2 Storages each and will have to use an army for 100K + 1 or 2 spells.

3.) Loot was good a few days before the boost and this was even with all the Players upgrading their mines and the update effect. I think it will be really quite good after the boost. The only Problem is loot for th10s because they have to go to crystal2 and above to avoid the th8s and this is the place where loot gets really dry, because Players there are more active.

Think about it... this is a business.

At what point did they try to make this game easy for us from day 1?

I can only think it was done to help protect premature bases from been eaten alive.

I don't actually have that big a problem with the %. The % however fails while elixir walls exist. That is why elixir walls MUST be locked until lv 10 or higher only. As it forces a player to collect $3 million elixir first before it is tossed out of the game.

I disagree with this statement. The shield system has been the same for 2 or so years now. Many players will say that loot was amazing a year or so ago - but poor today in comparison.

That is due to the formula sorting active/inactive bases that was changed a while back, altered storage percentages & caps, boosts becoming much more affordable [was 45 mins for 25 gems in the past, now 2 hrs for 10 gems], elixir walls and currently the temporary 1 gem boost.

The point in bold not yet noted in this thread; this one should not be underrated at all. The day this happened looting become harder. This single update alone while popular, put far more active attackers into matchmaking chewing up the bases with any decent loot quicker than ever before.

Supply vs Demand got hit hard.

A vast majority of farmers will NEVER boost dark elixir drills, elixir collectors or gold mines - but will often boost spells, heroes & barracks. They are taking loot out of the game much faster then they are putting it back.

In short, resource boosts are far too expensive compared to attack boosts. Resource boosts need to be cheaper, or provide a higher output. x3 or x4 loot.

Additionally to that, there is no incentive via achievements for players to max their resource pumps. If there was a gem reward for players to reach lv 12 pumps you would see more of them - and as such more loot been generated on a daily basis for players to steal.

when the boost started from the 24 of december to the 2 of january i was finding tons and tons of loot i even found a 1.2 million combined loot one many 800 k ones (combined) and too many 200 k (combined) i farmed about 30 million in that week doing 2 hour boost marathons but then the days 4,5,6,7,8 came and i was finding absolutely no loot i really dont know the reason

but i think its fair the thing about walls ya know ive been max on elixir for over month but the gold is the problem atleast take it up to 15 % is fair

I guess everyone in my clan in gold 2 and gold 3 was just "lucky" then also. At least 5 of us in that range agreed about the loot in that time period being the best ever. Maybe supercell is just cutting our clan a break because they always screw us in our war matchup. . . or maybe it was just because everyone was using the 1 gem boost and therefore everyone had a lot more resources. :confused: I think you just need to search harder, thats what my post was regarding.

Supercell has to take out inactive bases, then there would be much more loot and the game would be too easy. However, I think they take out a few too many...
