Yeah,why not??since we can boost for gems different buildings why not be able to boost and speed up the upgrades for units???it takes so much time to upgrade for instance giaiants to level 7,if that time for a good amount of gems per day let's say boost for 5 or 10 gems a day cut the time in two wouldn't that be good???i mean we spend gems anyway on other things why not on that too!!!!

Because the lab is far more like a builder than a barracks or spell factory. Upgrades in the lab, like buildings, are expensive and time consuming.
Of course 5-10 gems to boost for 2x for 24 hours would be good. The normal price for rushing 1 day's worth of production is 260 gems. You're asking for an enormous discount. If they did offer a boost it would probably be something like 200 gems for 2x speed for 24 hours.
The Laboratory is like you're Building a Tower, Would they really let you Boost your Builders Huts? It doesn't make sence. Boosting is for things you need multiple times that take maybe an Hour to create and gives like 4x for 2 Hours, Why would you be able to boost a Dragon upgrading to Level5 for 2 Weeks with a 2 hour boost that gives it 4x, or 12 Hour boost that gives 2x, so if you keep using the 12 Hour boost it would make it go Twice as fast for waay less gems. They already have you a choice to use gems to finish it. Think of it as Upgrading to TH10 Not like Training a troop. Supercell would Never add something like this.
