Please go back to allowing Elixir to be used for wall upgrades
I understand that Supercell made the decision to not allow elixir to be used to for upgrading walls lev 8 and below, but the result has not been good and I'd really like to see if changed back for the good of the game. There is now a pretty massive imbalance in value between gold and elixir (at least at TH8 where I am). I don't believe this is just something I'm noticing, the majority of active bases I see have far more elixir than gold. For my base my elixir is maxed at a good amount of the time. I actually moved my elixir storage's outside of my town walls because they have high hit points and because I don't care if someone raids them. This is a tactic I've seen this in a number of other bases I've attacked as well. This was very rare in active/well designed bases before the change but it has become quite prevalent.
If I had to guess I think the change was likely made as a way to push players away from BARCH and into using some higher cost troops. The problem is that for farming BARCH is still the most efficient way to obtain resources. If the goal is still to push people into trying different troop configurations then maybe Supercell should consider changing the time it takes to train these higher value troops. Its the low training times just as much as the low cost that makes BARCH so widely used. I tried doing mass dragon attacks with all my extra elixir but in the end the the mass dragons attacks were fun but not worth it. With all the wait time, I spent far less time actually playing the game and dragons were far less efficient in gaining resources.
