I am currently th10 in masters league and I will be working on my walls. It is really hard to upgrade with gold because I use gold for base defense upgrades, not for walls. SO Im hoping supercell bring the wall upgrades with elixr at leats level 7+ walls.Who's with me?

Get one wall to level 8 (800k with gold) and you can dump an additional 8M elixir into it), a th10 really has no reason why their elixir should fill up, you will just have some weird combination of purple,skulls,legos etc.

may i add that this was done to boost the elixir income (might be wrong) as people just spend it all on walls. this means you can upgrade troops quicker.

Honestly, you can farm more than enough gold for anything, if you raid enough, and elixir was hard to find during elix walls, so no, no elixir walls, I wish no one got them at all to be honest.
I was hoping these threads would go away once people realized that upgrading walls with gold wouldn't kill them. The rest of us had to do it. Guess I was wrong :(

Yeah it'd be great to have them implement changes the benefit us specifically but harm the community generally. Instead, crazy old Supercell looked at the big picture and agreed with user complaints that elixir for walls was slowing down the game. On the bright side, at least you bring a lot of smiles to the faces of people who come across your TH10 walls in the game. Happy clashing.Quote:

You don't need to think in cumulative cost if your doing zaps. Just be honest. You still don't think in cumulative when you're thinking of short term goals. Yes, I think cumulatively as an endgame goal (I need 1billion in resources for Zap walls) since I'm sort of close(relatively), but that's simply a very high level and not realistic goal even for me on a day to day level. Agreed. I remember before the last update, there were situations where I was passing up on large amounts of gold or De. Click NEXT on bases that contained 400k gold/50k gold / 4000 DE simply because it would not have been profitable from an Elixir level and I needed Elixir more than anything else. Honestly i don't think they should drop it any lower than it is right now, when they first introduced the upgrade walls with elixir thing, there were mixed reviews until we all decided that yes there was a decrease in elixir (i didn't experience that much of one but there was a slight decrease) If they bring back the low level elixir walls then there will be a problem again.

50 skulls isn't that expensive. Just do them when you get round to them. I finished my skulls off after I finished the defs, it was pretty easy even at TH10. Legos doesn't seem too tough, and I'm not using lix for many of them.

Loot is fine, loot system is fine. This is why it is much more beneficial to actually get half decent walls at TH8 & TH9.
It's fine as is. Did I like it for the lower walls? Sure, it benefitted me at the time. I realize it sucked for the elixir economy and why they changed it. Everyone complaining about it needing to be higher are as bad as the people complaining about wanting it to be for lower walls again.

this was killing the game !!! The only good thing it brought is the fac that it made SC raise the victory bonus.
in the end i bet there will be some people complaining that they do not manage to go deep into ennemy bases because they are to many high level walls !

I assume you most likely session raid and keep yourself unavailable for most of that grind to 3M of either resource, as your signature stats suggests you've been around the block a few times and would know better than not to farm them in this way, just like how most TH8+ players understand at that point how to grind out farming w/ minimal attacks/losses on their base ;).
Second, this update still allows it for lvl 9 walls. That's a measly 1M resources. If the player accidentally forgets to dump them when they have enough to upgrade from both resources, that's still only offering 100k/100k, from a developed base and split amongst 4 storages each. Come on buddy, you and I both know that's considered pretty terrible, as the potential to steal all of that requires a massive time/elixir commitment in the form of troops/spells.
There is plenty to steal from other town hall 10's. Maybe you should get out of gold league and play with the big boys for once.Quote:

I upgraded a lot of lego's with elixir - I was doing about 5 a day either 3 gold/2 elixir or 4gold / 1 elixir. Depending on the proportion. I started the day with. But the reality was that, even after the update was reversed I found it hard finding elixir in crystal leagues. Only in Gold 2 did i find a reliable source from collector raids.
At least lvl7? You don't seem to grasp the concept of Clash of Clans. By saying at least you are proposing that lvl6 and below walls should be upgradable using elixir. That is simply full ♥♥♥♥♥♥. All the elixir will drain out of the economy in seconds.Quote:

You're talking to someone who premmied to TH9. The concept of maxing anything passed me by completely. For others this will be the same.
I think SC did know that elixir was going to be less then usual but that they didnt expect the situation to be as bad as it was. From reading the forums it seems that the majority of people want to max their walls. Allowing TH8's to do this quickly meant that they would upgrade to TH9 quicker and become viable targets for TH10. Long long term there may be an advantage but short & medium and long term it was always going to be ......difficult.
I partially agree with you about the fact that they could look at the way that elixir for walls could be reformed. It could be that people can only use elixir after they hold a certain amount (sorry if someone suggested that above). However other people on the forums have been quite convincing about the way that the whole loot system should be reformed. I have read some very persuasive arguments on the forums sbout this.
Because it's nothing what I am seeing as a town hall 10. I use a hybrid army with over 100 archers and my last 3 raids from 13 hours ago I got a total of 1 million+ elixir and over 850,000 gold. This is every single time that I raid, nothing exceptional about that. I also got a million loot raid yesterday and the day before. Nearly every session I raid I get a million loot raid. Like I said, he is in the wrong trophy range.Quote:

I have a few cheap upgrades like collectors to lvl 12 so I will try to space them all out as best as I can.
I went to crystal in October and whilst loot wasnt great i had some fantastic raids. I kept myself afloat easy enough. I tried doing a bit if a push just before christmas..as a Th9.. I had to stop when I hit C1 as my elixir had dropped to under 100k. The TH9's didnt have loot and the TH10s that did were fearlessly guarding any that they had. I was seriously worried as to whether or not I could train an army for the clan war I volunteered myself for....Went back to g2.... Found loot and was happy.
btw i am guilty of dumping elixir into legos too.

I honestly don't understand how you think the walls that cost 200k to upgrade need to be able to be upgraded with elixir too. There are people that could finish a full set of level 7 walls in 2 days... You don't see people that are working on legos, lavas, and zaps complaining, and their walls are at least x5 yours.

I wasnt just looking for gold/ elixir to do walls - I was mainly raiding for DE. Most of which involved taking on TH9's and TH10's and hitting storages- with an army mainly made of barch
Loot is great for town hall 10's, 4 hours ago I just got my third million loot raid in the past 3 days. You town hall 10's having trouble getting loot are in the wrong trophy range.
This really stinks. I'm TH8 and everything is maxed out except for dark elixir toops and more than half of my walls. I have 6 million elixir and nothing to spend it on. What a waste. With every raid, the elixir just goes "poof" into thin air.

I think you should be able to do it on all levels of walls if you're say TH9. Really doesn't matter, but I don't see a point in not doing it.
Bro a TH 10 shouldn't have level seven walls.
Maybe you should've upgraded your walls earlier when elixir was available, it was too good to be true, it wasn't going to last forever.
Also- when the elixir was available for all walls past seven it was being used far more and I noticed a distinct decrease of elixir available to be found. SC doesn't want it to get used up, which is one factor affecting their decision to remove it and give level 12 pumps.
And besides, getting level eight walls isn't hard. If your base already has upgraded defenses as you say, you should have no problem getting them while your defenses protect your resources...
They should at least allow you to use elixir for walls when you have maxed storages...say above 80% or something? They had it right when they allowed TH8 to upgrade walls with elixir. Balance is way off for TH8 and needs a solution.Quote:
