Protecting builder's huts during war

At th 10 ofc it's bad because they go for the 2 star. At th 9 it's debatable. At th 8 and th 7 it's a great move to make it slightly harder to be mass dragged. They don't have the room to bring 4 archers for the builder huts without dropping a dragon.

It is easy to bait with corner huts.

Anyways with dragons, just start with one dragon in each corner from one direction first. Drop the rest between the corner huts and it won't mess up their formation.

If the attack is smart enough to really plan their attack, they will see the builder's huts in the corners of the base. Personally, I don't put builder's huts in the corners mainly bc the attacker will easily lure and kill the defending CC troops.. But I do have an idea though. It just came to me just now, how about putting one Level 1 or 2 Teslas in the corner of the base?

True, but an attacker at 49% with only weak troops left won't see the single HT, while the rest of the defences overlap. Not very common, but it's a possibility.
If it was a BH in the corner a single troop could get the star

Webbie nailed it. Them fellas are pretty smart.

Regarding corner tesla: could be a neat one-trick pony. The second attacker will know its there. But anything you can do to force a few dragons to circle the base is in your favor.
It is irrelevant that the teslas appear at 51%. If you have a TH8 base that looks the slightest bit difficult for hogs, then 95% of the time you're defending against mass dragons. Anything less and it's probably a two star anyway, or they have an archer queen and you don't stand a chance. So your, base has three air defenses, and he's probably going to kill one with lighting which leaves only two possible (good) attack directions assuming your air defense form a triangle. Put a tesla in the corner between the two best attack paths and place your building so that that they aren't near it. Unless they purposefully place a dragon right in the corner, to check for the trap, the dragon will have to fly all the way across the map to kill it at the end when the dragons have low health.
