Protecting builder's huts during war

Why do so many people place their builder's huts in the corner?

I think it might help save a trophy base from getting three stars because the attacker only has 30sec to plan his raid. But honestly, once you know they are in the corners of your opponent's war base, all you have to do is use 4 barbs and you get 4-8% destruction free.
They're also often used to lure clan castle troops in a corner.

There are only two cases putting your huts in the corner can help : if you're being attacked by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ who didn't see it during prep day. Or if you're being attacked by full dragons because they are really slow. Both of which aren't predictable.


So why not putting builder's huts inside the walls, along with the laboratory, spell factory and a few mines?
Isn't the priority protecting low hitpoints buildings using storages and other high hitpoints buildings?

A lot of Th7-8 do it and it's mostly a lack of experience that will get a player 99% because of it. Otherwise as you say it gives the CC pull an anchor point outside of base defenses and is generally a detriment to overall base defense potential imo.

They might distract other troops. I have seen many defences in which that builder hut in the corner saved a star. What good does builder hut inside could do?? What's wrong in testing the odds??

Mostly this is done becouse of harder to 3 star if your not paying attention.

If you go all out on a base without checking it fully you didnt see the builder huts in the corners. So when
your troops wrecked the base they have to go to the corners to get the 3start for 100%.

But ofc, most of the people nowadays are more experienced and you know you just put 1 troop on it.
This was a good tactic when CoC was pretty fresh

Puting builder huts in the corners has its merits for a farming base, but for war bases its just a bad move. Most people are going to lure the CC in wars, and puting builder huts in the corners makes it way too easy.

I'd say at th7/8 the most common 3 star attack is mass dragons with no lure, having those huts in the corner has definitely saved stars. A 1/2 star attack is a success for the defender so anything to prevent the 3 star is good in my books and this includes filling the corners (at certain th levels).

I agree. This is a simple tactic to try and stop three star drag attacks. However this is the only merit I see from huts i. The corners.

There's no reason to place builder huts in the corners if you're going against any type of experienced player.
