The closer I got to M1/champs I saw fewer. After boosts started, I've seen maybe 5 in two weeks barching in crystal 1/ master 3. Personally, I leave my TH out and when I got to around 3100 trophy, I would get sniped within minutes of closing the game by a champ league for one trophy. So I don't know if there are actually fewer, or if they just get taken out faster due to high number of active players.
I wouldn't try and get to masters just by sniping. In a 2 hour boost session this week I would see 2-3 each time even when I was over 2600 trophies. They are just a bonus and you need to be prepared to make proper attacks too. Interestingly when I looked in my revenge list most had farming bases but all were shielded or online.
I recently got to champion and there are lots of exposed THs, but there are times when you have to search 50 minutes to find one and times when you get one in 20 searches. Exposed THs are not that rare.
In my experience, once you get above middle of M2, they are fairly rare. I've been in low champs for a week now, and I've seen maybe one or two (if that). Reason being, is that in low champs you get matched against players as low as M2 or even M3 and who isn't going to snipe a TH for the champs bonus? It's really a matter of luck coming across one because you pretty much have to be the first person to get matched with the base when it gets put in the matchmaking queue.
Im in M3 and rarely see THs outside TH8s seem more common than exposed THs although mine is exposed so I must be the 1% 😂
idk if this is helpful for you , but in Crystal 2 there are a lot of exposed THs! and a lot of snipers too ... so sometimes it takes a while to find one .
You're better off going for 50%. Make all archers and lightning spells. Don't raid without heroes, full cc, and full spells.
Look for 30+ buildings outside the walls, and circle with archers. Aim for 50% with just your archers, and in a pinch, you can drop your heroes and/or cc, if need be. If you find yourself missing a few percent in the end, use lightning to finish it off. Watch the HP level of every building, and KNOW when a lightning spell will make a difference. You can take out builder huts and hero alters with one lightning. Two lightnings will take out a mortar. If a mortar is near a hero alter, you know that you can get 2-3% with two lightnings. Look for these opportunities to maximize your lightning. Under the right circumstances, you can use lightning to make up as much as 10%.
I am in masters 3 and never keep my townhall inside so maybe you will come along and snipe me. A lot of people don't snipe, but most do.
