If you raid 3000k DE per day you are most likely a robot with an endless amount of gems.
Lol my bad 3k
I have been TH9 since June this last year. I have to work on walls and heroes since I neglected them earlier in the TH now, so I'm guessing I have at least a few more months and I consider myself a casual player. The length of time you are at a certain TH level will depend on your activity, raiding ability and dollars spent.
OP asked the average? I would say for the average player from maxed th8 to maxed th9 is probably 7-12 months.
Are there people that have done it quicker? of course.
Yeah I'm just looking ball park. I'd say I've been at 8 for 5 months or so
Next year of my life at th 9 dang. So when do you become considered an advanced player.
It's obviously not that simple, but I would question the wisdom of anyone that completely neglects upgrading a troop just because they currently don't use it. The lab should always be running unless every upgrade is done. You never know when a patch is going to make today's most useless troop tomorrow's most useful one. Plan ahead. Keep your lab upgrading. Golems can be last if you really feel they are the least useful troop in the game, but upgrade them when there is nothing else left.
There is no definition of an "advanced player"
i used to think a th9 with full skulls was advanced... It's all relative
I stayed in TH9 for around 45 days.
I have no regret.
It depends on your playstyle.
I have been TH9 for almost 9 months, i was premature TH8 then, and this is the consequences of the premature, but max defense and ALL troops for TH9, level 20 both hero, and last 25 more for Lego wall, i am just average player that play 2 to 4 hours a day. My goal is just finish wall to Lego and both hero to level 25 or i feel bored i just to jump to TH10, I am just enjoying the game, it should not be stressful game.. I'ts just a game.. The real life is when you're not holding tablet or mobile.:):)
I reckon I have been a th9 for a year. I came into it being a premmie, now I just need to do walls and heroes.
So tempting to upgrade to th10
Refer my signature below. I max TH9 (before the L12 mines), except heroes and walls, and a few DE lab items.
Turn TH9 15 Jul 2013, from a maxed TH8, except walls.
Max it about end Oct. So, it's about 3 months.
Stay 2 more months to upgrade heroes and walls.
Total 5 months as TH9.
TH10 yesterday.
If you keep all 5 of your builders busy 24/7 with no sleeping builders ever, you can max TH9 from a maxed TH8 in about 5 and 1/2 months. If you plan on keeping a builder free to work on walls, you can bump that up to 7 months.
Took me 6.5 months. My walls and heroes were not maxed, but all other structures were. I did however skip 32 days of lab work!
I'm a year into th9. All def, troops, and buildings are maxed. I have 68 more legos then all lava walls left. Barb king is lvl 12, archer queen is lvl 14. Taking me a looooong time. Still expect to be here for 4+ months.
Correct. If you don't use golems that would be a really good indicator that you haven't gained experience against really good TH9 or TH10...
You could be an excellent farmer, but I personally wouldn't consider a player advanced if their experience is limited to Barch and beating up lower THs. Just my opinion.
@OP:
I think most people take at least 7 months to complete TH9. And by complete I mean max their defenses, get heroes to ~10-15 levels apiece, and do nearly all lab research.
Personally I've been TH9 for almost exactly 5 months.
Heroes / Walls / Lab are usually the limiting factor. Maxing TH9 defense really isn't all that hard. Getting heroes into the 20+ range and doing lavas is the major challenge. And the lab usually takes longer than the defenses.
Good luck.
I'm at TH10 and currently, thanks to the boost, farming around 5-6m gold per day and 25k DE. Elixir is indeed a bit more complicated as I'm training big armies but I still manage to fill my storages slowly.
So I would not stay a single day at TH9 for those loots ;-)
Golems are not the only valid army against TH10. I'm 2-starring nearly maxed TH10 every war, and never used a golem in my army ;-) I like using 4 lava 20 loons and the rest minions...
Gowipe and Gowiwi are great strategies, but they are not valid for us, farmers. Both strategies heavily rely on the use of your heroes, and mine are both constantly upgrading. I manage to achieve far better results in war without my heroes using lavaloonion strategy.
Bubduck what if you attacked some one and he has a dragon in his clan castle he will destroy your lava hound then he will go to ballons and destroy them from my opoinion 2 golems 3 pekkas 4 arch 4 babb for emergency and 7 wall breakers and the left wizards that what i do iam maxed up
And it's agraet stratigy of attacking and your stratigy are awsome but not very usfull i think .
Did you ever attack using a lavaloonion ? The drag in castle clan will chase the lava, but as they have quite some HP, minions will get to your drag and destroy it in a few seconds while your lava are still busy (btw, your drag will certainly even help me as it will force my minions into the core). Once they die, they split and give you even more "minion-like" troops, already in the core as it's most probably were the air defense are, so they will take TH out quite easily.
I can tell you I 2-starred lots of maxed TH10 using this strategy, with both heroes upgrading... I really would like to see a video where you show a 2-star on a maxed (or nearly maxed) TH10 with a gowipe or gowiwi strategy and no heroes !
I have to agree with bbdoc. I recently switched to Quattro lavaloonion over Gowipe and gowiwi since I became a th10 about 2 weeks ago. Way better success rate.
For OP, I was th9 for about 5.5 months with all legos + 30ish lava walls, maxed defenses, lvl 20 heroes, and completed lab work. Went th10 once lab work was done. No reason in staying past that point.
I'd say about a year, but try not to think about it really.
Goal #1 try to keep your lap upgrading at all times with minimal delays in between upgrades. Even upgrade the bad ones, they might be better someday through a patch.
Goal #2 Upgrade all collectors and DE drills asap, this is free money and will pay off in the long run.
Goal #3 Maximize your builders, try to keep them rolling at all times if possible, if not don't worry about it.
Goal #4 Walls are pretty important at TH9, I wouldn't even consider going th10 unless all of your walls are at least lvl 9. I try to upgrade my walls slowly a few here a few there at a time. If I max TH9 before walls are all done I'll just go ham on the walls before th10.
