Level 8 Walls

Hey guys! I've got a small suggestion/request in reply to a change made in a recent update.


As most of you know, level 7+ walls were able to be purchased with elixer 'and' gold, however was recently pushed back to level 9+ walls. As a player who likes to take his time, I like to upgrade my walls. 500k gold is a massive amount for any town hall 8, especially as our maxed limit is 6mil. Please make it so that level 8+ walls are purchasable with elixer, as it's un realistically difficult for us to max them with just gold alone. Level 7 walls are fine because 200k is only a tenth of the town hall 7 limit.

It's also not unrealistic. With the exception of the 2 month period or so where elixir could be used everyone else could only use gold for walls.

I'm currently upgrading my walls like you but I'm just raiding more to get more gold instead of complaining about it.

Allowing Elixir for walls at lvl 6,7,8 was a complete disaster. It was removed for a reason. Just get used to doing them with gold. Elixir walls will still be available to you at later lvls where it's ACTUALLY difficult.

I agree that elixir for level 6+7 was pretty silly, but level 8? That was reasonable.

Fully maxing town hall 8 costs like 15mil elixer, and 120mil gold.....Even while raiding a lot, you're still stuck with 6mil elixer for weeks and weeks and weeks! Basically throwing any raided elixer down the drain.

There is a part in there about using elixir to upgrade walls, but not specifically lowering the requirement of level before doing so. So, technically you can post this as much as you like.. :(

Don't whine and farm the walls.

Train super expensive army's when you sleep or you are at school/work. That solves being stuck with full elixer.
but I dont agree with 500k being much for a th 8 I'm th 10 now and to me it looks a th 8 farms gold a lot quicker then I do :).

I managed to get all my walls to level 10 with just gold thats 3m per wall be paitent

tell me OP, is it better to have too much elixir, or too little?

I want that back. I have nothing to spend elixer on. My barracks, camps, lab, and factory are at the L9 TH limit, so all my elixer is good for is donating troops. I understand that people used their elixer, so is was harder to find it raiding, but I feel like it truely balanced spending. Bring it back!!

First of all, lvl 8 walls are still allowed... and it is still a disaster. But I don't think you intended to make that your point.

Secondly, your posts are toxic to getting where this needs to be headed. It is entirely of your opinion of what level of walls become "hard to do." That's not why they changed elixir for walls, it had everything to do with the effect on the economy at higher TH levels. But saying that it was terrible at lvl 6 and 7 walls, but fine for lvl 8-10 walls is so selfish in nature. It still doesn't fix the problem with it, which is that it allows players who are eligible to use elixir on walls to dump it all out of the system. Just because TH7/8s can't do it anymore doesn't mean it isn't a problem when it's allowed at TH9/10.
