Has this Been Suggested Before? Upgrade Spring Traps!

Feel free to bash me if its been posted before but is there a possible way to add upgrading spring traps into game? Has it been suggested before? (Now I know I has been req for already but this is just a more indepth detailed description of what a few of us think it should be like!)

So this is that stats I think it should inherit:

Level	Housing Units Space Trap Can Launch	Cost to Upgrade	Time to Upgrade	Cost to Rearm
1	15 (so 3 giant or 15 archers incase you don't know what I mean by 15 housing unit space)	N/A	N/A	2,000
2 (Must Be TH 6)	17 (so 3 giants or 17 archers, etc)	75,000	4 hours	6,500
3 (Must be TH 7)	20 (so 4 giants or 20 archers, etc)	200,000	12 hours	15,000

Visual would go like this!

• At level 1 we would have the normal spring trap with the wooden base and golden spring
• At level 2 we could have the base be metal (a dark silverish look) with a golden spring
• At level 3 we could have bombs (just so you know, these bombs are just for the aesthetics only) stuffed under the base in to the compartment where the spring is. The spring is still golden.

Thats my basic idea! I don't know about you but feel free to give me any opinions and if its ruled out please tell me soon! (P.S, Pekkas and Golems still aren't affected by this trap now because the trap has launch at three has been lowered!)

Yeah from what I think it is sort of OP. At level 3 we could launch out almost 100 troops if you have 4 spring traps. But then again, there is no guarantee the trap will work tho! Any more insights?

I thought of that on as well and i think it sounds like a good idea!

Its a very good idea! At least it's not like: Lvl 3 can spring a pekka lol. I think i read somewhere that it's been ruled out, but I think they are going to consider it.. Also what on earth does ruled out mean? Ik what the true meaning is and also in CoC forums, but there are ruled out ideas for SC to consider, and ruled out ideas that will never happen.. Please tell me which one it is lol

It isn't a bad idea, just unnecessary imo. Besides, nobody likes more upgrades and more re-arm cost :rolleyes:.

This is quite true but I find it extremely helpful in wars perhaps!

Theoretically the upgrade costs need to be much higher. Upgrading to Level 3 should cost about 200-300k.

Also, this has already been seen by Supercell. http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...rum-guidelines

Run a CTRL - F (or Command-F if on Mac) of the above before posting an idea.

Yea since it is quite an amazing trap. I'll change it right now!

I like it. have no objection to it being implemented. Cost and TH requirements should be high though. Necceesary dso that it does not become too OP. Level 3 should require th10 in fact. (at th10 its more golems than giants, and golems are immune. Pekkas too.)

Ok! I've raised the cost! I guess putting town hall restrictions is only right! I'll add it right now!

Golems and pekkas are immune due to their high housing space. This would make pekkas vulnerable

I have stated that this would still lead the the Pekkas and Golems being invulnerable. Just make it so that they can't launch them. Lol

better idea lv 1 is how it is now, lv 2 allows it to either slow down and kick more units at a go or to be able to kick pekka out then at lv 3 it will be able to kick out barb king arch queen and golem

Horrible! Thats the whole purpose I was trying to avoid! The trap would be to OP so no. Think man think! Thanks for your opinion though!

This has most definitely been suggested, i hate it. Spring traps are fine the way they are.

Maybe, but some people agree that its not that bad of an idea.

Yes, but it does need some tweaking! 24 archers gone is kinda OP, but good idea none the less!!

Considering how many spring traps we get, this definitely is OP. Perhaps if the number of spring traps was scaled back a bit, then this could work. But I think it's fine the way it is. If something is working good the way it is, don't change it.

It wouldnt help, i dont want spring traps to be able to be upgraded.

Lol, some people do ♥♥♥♥. You don't happen to do the healer/giants a lot do you?

I agree, I like this idea very much. It's sad to see 25 giants walk over a spring trap and not notice, then proceed to completely demolish your base. There's nothing other than the inferno tower that can do enough damage per second to take down a very large amount of giants combined with two or more healers.

Really dislike the cost to re-arm. It costs far too much as it is to re-arm traps.

I've definitely scaled it down by a big margin and made it much less OP than it was before. This mourning I made it at level three to launch 5 giants, now its down to 4. I still think its a some what good idea.

Yes, I had increase it quite a bit to make it less OP. I guess I can lower it a bit. I have lowered it a tiny bit. And besides, the Giant bomb at level 1 is 75,000 gold to rearms so I think the new cost I just made is now fine as it is.

I believe you should indeed.

Lv 1 - 15 spaces 2,000 gold
Lv 3 - 20 spaces 20,000 gold

The spring is +133%, yet the costs +1,000%.

I just did and actually, the level 1 rearm cost is the current rearm cost of the spring trap. No use to argue with me about the level one rearm because its the one SuperCell already set!

I had no problem with the lv 1 re-arm. Just comparing the difference between a far higher price with a minimal benefit.

Thanks for the ideas! I had the cost a bit high because a few people suggested it was kind of OP if the rearm is low.

It seems alright. But since max spring trap can poop away 20 archers and 4 giants can't it throw a P.E.K.K.A?
