i made my own base a couple weeks ago and its repelled a couple of attacks, but its been 3 stared in every war.
it has been tweaked a few times, but still been 3 stared since the last tweak.
just looking for advice on it, even if its to scrap it and start over from scratch if you think there nothing i can do with this

Hey there, there isn't that much you can do being a Town Hall 8. If you are getting three-stared by Town Hall 8 or lower, then that is a problem. It also seems like your air defenses are all inside of the base and air unites can easily get those outside buildings then advance closer into the base so I recommend that you make another base or even copy one online that gets them to have maximum air defense coverage if you are getting three stared by Town Hall 8 or lower. Spread out your Air defenses! Otherwise, once dragons reach the middle with a rage they can blaze through all your air defenses!

i disagree about the centralized ADs. I personally like my ADs in the core. When you spread them out they are 1) easy to pick off with a loon/hog sniper squad and 2) usually won't cover eachother or the TH making it easier to two star.
Quite honestly with lvl 6 ADs in the core there isn't much a th8 can do to assure a three star with dragons (yeah they can get lucky but it will usually be 1-2 stars)
There isn't anything you can do to stop a th9 or th10 mass dragon attack though. The extra dragon(s) and spell(s) will just be to much for you to defend against.
If you keep a moat style base make sure you har at least 6 possible bomb spots and id suggest only keeping one mortar in the core. Put 3 archer or 2 archer and 1 wizard tower in the core instead. Helps against hogs and HoLo
So as a th8 in a hardcore war clan, you cannot hope to NOT be 3 starred. So, as a th8, try to keep the enemy be able to 2 star you at max. As a th9, you can start be defensively good enough to hold off 3 star attacks
as for that base. Ads are centralized. You dead, mate. Think how you would attack it. 5 max loons in the cc, 10 drags. 2 rages and a heal. Your base is doomed.
Not to be rude, but start it over if you cant bring major changes to that base. Oh and dont place big bombs towards the outside. Easy to trip.
Second, your mortars, personally, i'd rather have them in the camps stead. ad put those teslas and g bombs in the middle. so basically, hogs will get killed there.
