Higher Attackers Not really fair

So I'm in town hall 6 and people who are in town hall 7 can attack me it's not really fair because they've got barb kings and my bro he was in town hall 3 and a town hall 7 attacked him it's not really fair to be honest. You guys should have it town hall 5 vs town hall 5 not town hall one vs town hall 4. Fix this and I'll give it 5 stars. Other then that everything's fine. Just know a town hall 8 attacked me and he used 12LVL3 Giants, 6LVL2 Wallbreakers, 2 healers, 20,LVL4 Barbs, 8 Minions, 6LVL 3 WIZ, Barb King Level 1, 2LVL3 Lightning, 1 rage spell. My defense could not compete with those guys. I'm only Town hall 6 and that was town hall 8

Maybe drop your trophies. Thats why the system matched you with such high level troops.

Then get stronger. I guarantee that if you rpget into the game, you'll be forced to attack people weaker than you for resources.
Your brother's unusaul attack gave the attacker pennies in resources. His attack gave him less resources than it cost to commence the attack. Town Hall Rushers will have no chance against the same town hall, and the trophy system would be thouroughly destroyed. You can attack Town Hall four's, so it's fair.

That is kind of how the game works. There is a loot penalty based on Town Hall level. Here, in the wiki, it lists how much of a penalty those higher level Town Hall people get from you. It shows that a TH7 will get 90% of what anyone lower would otherwise get from you, which means you should expect them to attack you. A TH8 attacking will only get 50%, which makes your base noticeably less appealing to be attacked, but still worth it if you have a ton of loot. If for some reason a TH9 attacks you, that is 25% if what others at your level or lower could get. A TH10 looking at you would see only 5% that's loot able, so why bother to loot you?

As an early TH7, I had to face TH8s attacking, with lvl5 barbarians and archers, with a low level Barbarian King. Actually made a base that fends off most of thier basic barcher attacks. Check out my basic layout of my base here (Town Hall 7 - My Answer to Barcher raids) I'm actually a bit proud of the ingenuity. It isn't going to stop any and all kinds of attacks, and you will lose some loot, but expect a good number of trophies from failed attacks. If you don't want loot loss, make a farming base with a Town Hall exposed to maximize shield time chance from town hall snipers.

There isn't much I can offer, besides use loot you get as soon as you can to not have much for others to loot. If in a good trophy range for looting (like I am currently), just ignore the attacks. They take at most 18% of the loot, up to 200k gold and/or elixir (as listed here), and you'll likely have a shield to block any more loss. A worst case loss in a good spot to loot is like 1-3 successful raids for me, and I make more than a dozen of those in a day. That's the nature of the game, loot, and get looted. Just be glad Supercell had the forethought of being razed to the ground as just a relatively minor setback, given you have such a limited loss of loot per attack, and rebuilding is free and almost instant. If made realistic, you would lose it all if razed to the ground, and have nothing. Big difference... :cool:

Final note: If I had a choice, given the loot penalty, I would rather someone two or three Town Hall levels higher than me getting three stars on me than someone lower. Means I lose less loot for a 'total loss' :p

Those weren't even th8 lvl troops, must have been a rushed th. Also the game matches in trophies not th's, if they did th's there'd be no leagues. Plus th8 vs. th8 would make the game very rigid for those of us who are good attackers we can trump th's that are above us, while there are bad attackers who can barely 1 star the th below them.... Really wouldn't work. Just my opinion though.

Firstly my townhall 6 account has better troops than that town hall 8 secondly, deal with it, I'm town hall 8 and get attacked by th 9s and 10s all the time, wait till your as good and get em back

I don't think this is an issue. TH7/8 will get almost no loot from your TH5/6 because of the loot penalty of higher TH's.
They probably attack you to increase in cups or because your mines/collectors are full. That last part, you can easily control yourself. The cup thing will just give you a shield without loosing too much resources.

I totally agree on this point. Getting 3-starred means a 16 hour shield. Getting 3-starred by someone 2-3 TH levels above you means a long shield with negligible loot taken. If you're going to get beat anyway, this is the best of both worlds. Unless you would rather hold onto the trophies, then it sucks... the 16-hour shield is nice either way though...

Matching is by trophies.

Here's most likely a reason why; some people can attack a th higher, some two ths higher and get 100% (they're just that skilled.)

Some can't even attack 3 ths lower, and get a star.

Also there is a loot penalty so th10s don't pick on th5s-6 that much.

You don't lose what you would normally lose because of it.

Drop trophies if you're having this problem, chances are you're in too high of a league.
