so im trying to decide what to upgrade, my barbs are lvl 5, giants, wallbreakers, arch, gob, and wiz are all lvl 4. healer lvl 2 and drag lvl 1. what should i upgrade

Whatever you use the most...
yea for them most part upgrading is a matter of preference, just make sure that everything is up to par and don't let troops get under leveled when you move to the next town hall
