Spending DE: BK or upgrades?

I was wondering how to properly spend my dark elixir. I can either continue my BK upgrades (level 3 right now) or start upgrading my minions, which I sometimes use. All viewpoints welcome.

I would do minions first, especially if you are a farmer. The way the efficiency chart works out, it is better to keep BK fairly low level. Also, minions are a good farming troop.

If your farming you should do the minions. The higher the lvl with the barb king the more time hes there sleeping on his thing....Maxing minions also are great all Dark troops maxed are fantastic!

BK upgrades for me.
My normal raiding troops still serve me well and DE is still very precious to me.
I don't see a need to use Dark Troops, so no need for upgrades.

I did minions for all the reasons above. Great for farming, and the Burger King is available more at lvl 1.

BK. If I raid with him, I can take down even the toughest black skull walled bases no problem. You really don't have to use heroes unless you need them for those tough bases so the extra sleep is fine, although 6min additional per upgrade does sound silly...

I haven't needed DE troops yet for my farming raids, nor have I upped my BK, so no real opinion other than from a defensive perspective. The minions seem a bit weak, even at level two, that's all I've been raided by, but the BK at level 5+ gets fairly deep into my base with the proper backup.

Edit: That's for a TH9 with about half of my remaining defenses one shy of being fully upgraded. Walls are lacking though, pink and purple.

I spend mine on the BK and Archer Queen mostly

I upgrade the minion just so my lab isn't idle.

DE is like so easy to get now =D
