Banned from Clash... by association?

I can't comment on the UK law as I know nothing about it, but there seems to be two basic differences:
1. The law intentionally punishes by association and not simply because it is more expedient than finding the actual guilty party.
2. It seems there is an implied assumption that associates are supporting criminal activity, where Daddy's stance seemed to be that associates just didn't do anything to stop it.

For example, if I'm pulled over for speeding, should everyone in the car get a ticket for failing to stop me?

This isn't world politics. It's a game. It may not be fair, but neither is life, so get used to it. I'm a clan leader, and I can think of several ways to game this system. For example, bring an alt account in to make the edits. As leaders, we are responsible for our clan, and that also makes us culpable.

In the UK if say three people steal a car and go joy riding, the police will need to be able to identify the driver for prosecution. If they can't then all three will likely 'get away with it'. If they can then all three will face charges, with the driver receiving the more severe punishment. That would be the 'normal' process, there are always exceptions to the rule though. Shouldn't forget a lot of these crimes are done in gangs or groups because that's where these people get their kicks, by 'showing off'. Similarly in Clash people try to be rude or funny to make an impression with their team. If you research on google how to make a successful clan you will find all advice tells you not to be rude or try to be funny in your clan description, it always back fires. Look at the description for all the top clans, all of them are plain and simple.

Getting back to the topic, and a potential solution. It seems to me a more reasonable punishment would be to ban the clan from having any description at all. Whilst it still punishes the innocent, it is at least not stopping them play the game, and allows the innocent parties to resolve any issue with guilty, something they can't do while banned. Another option would be to only allow the leader to edit the description. Only need to ban one person that way. If the leader swaps around then that's their look out!

OP, you are the type of guy to ruin it for everyone. 24 hours is a fair ban, and support has to deal with thousands of snitches (you shouldn't have let it get reported). grow up.

OP was quite mature (much more than the average OP too). He accepted that he can't appeal and didn't try to cause drama about it not being fair. You're the type of guy to cause drama in threads while hardly reading the replies

no one in the car with you had the power to control the gas or break pedal, so thats a terrible analogy

as as a clann coleader you did have the power to delete the clan description. You didnt. By not changing it, you endorsed it. Take your 1-3 day ban and read a book.

even if they could figure out who did it, i dont think they should change the policy. Its clan managements responsibility and they failed. If you do not want the responsibility of the title of coleader, get a demotion. Clans that get bans i bet are more deligent in what is said in their clan description after a 2 day ban!

Moderator Daddy put out all the arguments to be had here. There are no logs for whoever changes the clan description. Have you ever had to pore through a log at work? If the culprit isn't there, there is no evidence to be had on Supercell's end. it' s a he-said-she-said sort of deal. But I'm repeating others now.


If he "accepted that he can't appeal" , why did he make this thread? You see this thing happen in public/global/boys and girls clans which are open and freely give out CO, and one of them puts offensive language in the clan description. This is nothing new. Considering the nature, 24 hours is completely fair in fact I had feared it to be longer.

Isn't that something you can only do ingame though? Since I'm banned, I can't even load the game for 2 days. Or are you talking about something through supercell's website? If so, anybody got a link?

There's no need to submit a support ticket. You know what happened, you now know the policy. Your ban will not be reversed much less reversed before it expires on its own.

Now ow you have a choice. You can become a true co LEADER to your clan and regulate what is said on your description or remove yourself from that responsibility by asking for a demotion or changing clans.

The choice is yours....
