At Last: TH8 Master III

First of all, let me thank every single clan that donated even that one archer to me.

So here's my story without any further delay:

3 weeks ago, I came out of quitting the game for 4 months. I was at about 780 trophies then.

I relied on defense and mass archer attacks until Crystal III.

Later I started doing balloonion attacks with:

20 archers, 24 balloons, 30 minions and 3 healing spells.

Before you say that my strategy is stupid, let me note that I won 49/50 attacks.

After 3 weeks of trying about 2 hours a day, I finally did what I always wanted, I reached 2600 trophies.

Gratz. Master's quite an achievment at TH8.

Master seems like a long way away for me... I just got th8 a month ago, went to gold 1 and got demoted a week later lol

Congrats, knowing that you do not snipe your way up there, which is so overused. How were you after the stalking, anyways?

I did the same thing in the summer as a mid-TH8, peaked at 2644 trophies, quite a feat, good job :rolleyes:

OP, what were your troop levels? I am making the same trophy run. I have gotten to 2388 and things have really slowed down. Very few bases any more that I can 50% with barch. I don't see how folks say you can snipe to 2600, I bet I don't see one TH out in 30 matches. Just got golems and tried gowipe but I think my pekkas are still too weak at level 1.

The guy who said snipes were impossible:

The 2400-2500 barrier was the hardest one for me! So I chose a tactic. I would only attack bases that:

Would be a 1 star with over 11 trophies
Would be a 2 star with over 18 trophies
Would be a 3 star with more than 8'trophies
And... Snipes

P.S. My troop levels

All level 4 except:

Hog lvl1
Minion lvl3
Loon lvl5
Drags lvl3
All spells at lvl4 except rage at lvl2

Rage at lvl2!!!!!! For me rage is the most important spell. I've got mine at lvl4, very useful if used well.

Rage is good for a 1 star loon raid, but for 2 stars, eh, not very handy

Rage is used for speed in balloonion raids so the level of the spell doesn't matter a lot

I believe TC is an old player, and MM stands for matchmaking, his quote references SC thought this guy would be way too OP switching to an IPAD so they changed matchmaking to make it harder for him.

I did it and stopped at 2953 cups.

I did the same thing yesterday! Congrats! Except I just played super long sessions (about 8-10 hours a day) and did C3 - M3 in about 3 days.

Well I'm on winter break, did all my projects for school and didn't have anything else on my schedule. It helped that my friend made a bet on 07 runescpae (another game on the computer, not gonna get into details because it is against forum rules XD) so he helped me a lot because me and him hung out and played. I mirrored my screen on my Apple TV and had a good time. It was worth it ;) now I have to go back to regular life someone shoot me now!

So I never saw: what are you using them gems for? I used them to get my 5th builder and still have 500 left.

EDIT: Is that "In all seriousness" messing with me? Because I usually make a joke then say "in all seriousness:" and give a real answer on the forums. If so: lol if not: what a coincidence! :D

I am going to keep it for boosting. I now have 3800 gems (saved up and 500 with buying). Also yes, the all seriousness part was for you

IKR I quit because it was too hard to raid at 2500 so I farmed to 2200 and then started pushing again when I came to my mind!
