the reward of loot from attacking is to high

why do I (and others) get attacked and the people get more resources than I can produce. Like I can only get 480 dark elixir in one day and they get like a 1000 from their attack and I only get a shield that last 11 hours at the most and to get 1000 dark elixir takes like 3 days to get,so I'm constantly losing my resources. I would like production of resources to go faster with out gems or have the amount of loot be lowered because all this is doing is basically making me and others spend gems on shields .

Sounds like someone stole an hour from your shield.

If your only source of resources comes from collecting your pumps, you're playing the game wrong. Take a page from the book of players who are stealing 1k dark elixir from you and go out and attack some bases. This isn't a farming game. It's war.

The enjoyment of the game comes from raiding other players, whether it be inactive mines and pumps for quick and easy high resources, or storage raids. Attacking other bases for loot is part of the process to maxing your base and becoming a skilled attacker with various armies.

I can't imagine simply watching your pumps and mines filling up to be all that exciting. ;)

Lolwut??! I think you should learn to raid. Galadon and other YouTubers have a vid on farming for DE at TH7.

Like others have said, go out and attack. It's really not that complicated.

If it's 'making' you spend money on gems, then I guess they're doing something right!

I'll admit at TH 7, DE is hard to hold on to. But build a good base, max your elixir and gold upgrades quickly, then you'll be ready to get to TH8. I was a TH7 when there was no drill. I didn't really raid that much DE, so I just didn't have a king or upgrade any dark troops till I was TH8.

Don't complain, try to change things for yourself.

Build a DE protection base or use someone else's and try to farm harder. Doesn't take that much of an effort really.

DE isn't as hard to get as you'd think. When i was th7, before th7 had a drill, i focused on only raiding for DE and got a barb king in a day.

Getting DE is not that hard, but it is a bit annoying getting looted for 1000 DE in matter of minutes after logging off.

So I ended up putting TH on the outside like everyone else. Most of the time I get a shield from someone sniping my TH before being looted for DE. Probably your best bet if you just want to sit and get resources from mines/extractor/drill.
