Pekkas are dumb!

Anyone else feel like since the update the pekkas AI is even worse? Been using max pekkas for a long time now, since the update tho. Been super hard to get them to do anything other than walk in a circle and chase skelly traps. Also. All my troops are ignoring the jump spell 80% of the time. Really frustrating on top of the fact that. As a th10. I have to search for 25 minutes just to find a base its worth using my top tier troops on. Then I do. And they walk around like tools. Getting really sick and tired of the constant bugs. Anyone else feeling this pain? :mad:

Pekkas cant read your mind, they simply go for the nearest building or cc troops and stuff.
Provide a a video or screenshot of it not doing that and you may have a point, but right now you sound like a noob who cant even use a troop with such basic ai.

my dragons has an IQ of -20

I usually drop pekka when the outer structures are clear and when I know that she will walk and destroy inside the base's core and I don't scatter my other troops from a different side of a base where skeleton traps could be triggered. I always want my pekka and Golems in front of my whole army, so whenever there is a distraction, it will be lured to my pekka and golem, of course except for the enemy AQ that could be hitting my army on the otherside of a wall but that's easy to avoid when you know where to drop your army.

There is an area on the jump which does not affect your troops, they have to be glowing green to be able to jump

if your pekkas walk around then it's you whos dumb.. don't train pekkas if you don't know how to use them

1.) The Job of Skeleton traps is distracting Pekkas. Simply dont send Pekkas in alone, but also with some other troops (wizards/witches etc.)

2.) Pekkas are supposed to go around the base if you dont use them correctly. You have to clean the outside building first, before they will even bother going in. A jump spell will help, but if a building outside is still nearer, then they will go outside. This is not a bug, this is their intended behaviour. They have strong stats, but slow attack Speed and are easily distracted.

You are probably destroying the buildings that lead to the center too quickly (if nothing is left for the pekkas to destroy, then they will go to the left or right).

Most troops have the same AI, so if P.E.K.K.A.S are dumb, then all other troops are as well. Also, it is just a matter of how you use the troops. Try using them in different ways and maybe you will think differently. If you can't figure out how to use them look it up on YouTube to find out how to use them and what troops to use them with.

What? You don't love a good ol' PEKKA-go-round? What about the AQ's obsession with shooting everything that isn't shooting at her. I love that one.

So much vitriol. Im a noob? I've been playing for over a year thank you. I understand most of the time where my pekkas will go. I clear outter buildings first. Of course. I don't know how to post a video. Lol. I was looking for a little support maybe an idea or two. These forums are just full of hatred. And anger. I thought this is where I would discuss the game. Not be attacked. Noob. Yeesh. I'd hate to meet any of you people face to face. I highly doubt you would be so arrogant and rude then. Keyboard tough guys. This must be where the global chat gets its distinct flavour of garbage.

Out of all the advice given so far you point out the one spot where someone calls you a "Noob" then you get mad and proceed to act like a "Keyboard tough guy"? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh the irony ♥♥♥♥♥

pekkas are too stupid honestly they get annoying sometimes.... in clan war i got 1 star 99% cause of the pekkas

they need to update them and make them better

I'm 45% certain that's below average.

Every failed attack I see with pekkas I can explain why it went wrong. I think they are working by design. It should take a little skill to get them to work correctly otherwise you might as well put a I win button on your screen as well.

With a little practice I've gotten pretty good with them and can't remember a time they circled the base for me.
The trick is to keep wizards close behind and infernos frozen at the right moment so when you hit the core they make it thru the skeleton traps fast.

Basically this- I also make sure my wallbreakers make a big enough hole - but as long as the outer structures are gone they will go right where you want them.

Max Pekka army? Well that could be your problem.

That doesn't make pekka dumb, it targets anything closer. It takes skill to bring the pekka to the middle of the base, and when it goes there, you win. Everything else does what is closest target is. Archer queen is just a bigger archer doing the same things as little archers..

The only dumb troop that needs revision is wall breakers. Even the most skilful can only estimate which single wall it is going to blow up. You cannot master it because you just send them in pairs and they hit the same wall 3 blocks apart with the effect of one blow damage. Most random troop spawning ever. All they have to do is hit the joining wall blocks or flaming corner edges but nope.

If you said you are clearing outside structures first, maybe you just deployed them a little bit late? I think that's the only reason left why.. Try deploying them a little early in your next attack, goodluck! ;)

OP didnt say they were dumb enough to make the easy pekka wandering mistakes, but thats another favourite. Sending them too late, or too many central wiz too early. Nothing left in middle then, pekkas on the wander again despite best funneling efforts.

What they did say though was skellie traps, and that you cant control. More witch/wiz in close support yes is the only sort of counter. Doesnt help though when they will run miles to go kill one, or continue to break a wall after a skellie is already dead (a hero favourite).
THAT, needs fixing. Skeleton traps work as intended, distraction. But we cannot have troops notice them from soooooo far away, but fail to notice when they are dead! Well, they do, but usually just as theyve finished breaking a pointless lv10+ wall.
