Hi, I just got a dragon in my clan castle for a clan war, but when i looked on the war preparation page i see that my clan castle has barbs in it? can the clan castle hold different troops both in the normal clan castle and if you request in the war prep page? confused a little

Yes, the war base and regular base will have different things in their clan castles. War base is strictly for defense and clan castle troops will be there every time you're attacked, even if they die. Regular base clan castle troops are there for defense (in a normal raid) or for attack (just like any raid).
ah ok thanks, so in order to get say a dragon to defend my base in clan war i need to request one through the war prep interface not from my normal base
