Today I've started upgrading to th10, I still 7 walls to do. Everything maxed except king and queen. I've never got any gems although I might get some in future for boost only but till now didn't.
We have two members at inthedark who are maxed th10 and have never bought gems. Now both members are over 4k cups. Legendary lurker and berserker
Takes a ton of time and determination though just to max a base.
