Should I go to TH 10?

So then unless you want to be stuck at TH9 for another year with sleeping builders, go ahead and upgrade.

I don't see the big deal of having sleeping builders. It's like a sin or something. I'm at TH9 with maxed everything except walls and heroes. AQ is at lv 20 and BK at 16 and walls half and half lego/lava. I'm just upgrading my heroes and walls and enjoying the hell out of it.

I'm at the top of the th9 food chain as a maxed th9 and killing other 9, 8's and premie 10's for solid loot. In wars I can two star everything except very upgraded th10's. So why do I need to go to 10 asap? For inferno towers, maxed troops, freeze spell? Those all cost big resources/time and I can get better loot now without those things.

There's a ton of th10's out there with laughable walls and middling heroes but wow, they have infernos towers like everybody else, yawn..... How many 10's u see out there with legos or lavas and properly upgraded heroes, not many. I love th9 and will stay here till I have to upgrade.

You will progress faster in the game of you keep your builderd busy. There's always a battle in the forum from the walls/hero maxers and the don't let your builder sleep and lab idle. I'm the latter. I'm not about maxing walls or heroes I want max troops and max buildings. Once I max those out is where I can max my walls and heroes since I'm not going to need gold,elixir and DE anymore for troop upgrades. To the OP if your getting bored go ahead upgrade

Those infernos, extra x-bow, higher defense levels, etc. allow you to remain in higher leagues much more comfortably where DE is more plentiful, and the higher troop levels/freeze spell allow you to get to that DE much easier. So yes, by avoiding the loot penalty so you can farm off of TH8s, it's easier to work on your walls, but the loot penalty does not hinder DE farming. Heroes and other DE upgrades can be farmed much more efficiently in higher leagues by attacking TH10s. And yes, keeping your builders busy is very efficient.

Walls slow down attackers - except balloons.. and dragons... and minions.... and lava hounds... which fly over them. Or hogs that Jump them. And it won't stop the jump spell either.

no, it will be harder to get loot at th10 so its harder to do walls and heroes so stay at th9 and max it out

I will definitely get my walls all to level 8 before upgrading, and probably about ten of them to level 9, however by the time I upgrade my heroes will probably only be around 12-13.
The only DE upgrade for troops that I really have left is level 5 golems, so after that all of my DE will be going into my heroes, so I plan to just upgrade them continuously at town hall 10.


And no offense to the people that max out your walls at town hall 9, but I just don't understand the logic. If you simply would've upgraded the town hall first and maxed all of your defenses, then spent all that gold on walls, you could easily have maxed defenses w/ level 8-9 walls instead of town hall 9 defenses w/ level 9-10 walls, which is much better imo.

The reason people tell ya to stay as a th9 to do walls is because as a th10 you're no longer able to farm them juicy th8s for gold. TH8s are the cash cows for TH9s. As a th10 you'll only be able to raid other th10s and th9s. Before the L7 troops th10s didn't really have a great advantage over Th9s on offense but on defense it's a different story. But now with L7 giants and barch it will be easier for th10s to farm th9s.

Finish skulls and get your heroes up to at least 20

You answered your own questions... You said you were getting bored and the game wasn't as enjoyable... that means go up to TH10.

Walls are incredibly overrated but forum junkies seem to get off on them so of course most here will be telling you to stick around and grind them out endlessly.
