Im a TH8 that needs clan war attack strategies!!!
I didn't use it but I heard Giant/healer is the way to go at th 8
GOWIVA is the best attack strategy!

Tbh Really All Drags with 3 rage or 2 rage one heal works the best at th8, I used gowipe when i was a th8 but turned to all drags as it was better than Gowipe.
It really depends on what kinds of bases you're hitting though, and why you're hitting them. Farming, I'd recommend a far cheaper strategy, but I'm assuming that you want a strong army!
Sure Drags are powerful enough, and they can take out ANY TH8 with enough strategizing and a bit of luck. But in all honesty, it's unpredictable, and even a well planned attack with drags can fail due to poor luck, and I'ts happened with me enough. And that's when I jumped on the GoWiPe train, to find that even though it's a bit more predictable, and can truly clear out a base just as well as Dragons, it's still not good enough for me.
That's when I moved onto GoWiVa / GoViz (Whatever you want to call it!). This strategy has brought me beyond the Max Level TH8, and even into Mid Th9 Bases, continuing to 3 Star them, where Drags wouldn't even come close, let alone GoWiPe! The thing about it though, is that it's overkill on anything short of a Medium-High to High leveled TH8 Base!
If you're trying to hit Low level or Medium Level Th8s, Dragons are perfect! Relatively cheap, and powerful as heck, plus you get al the DE and Gold loot!
But if You're going higher and don't have a good strategy / clan to help you with strategy, then Dragons might not cut it! 3 Lv6 ADs are deadly!
1. All Drags: Assuming your army camps are maxed, heres what you need,
-10 drags-
-2 rage spells-
-1 heal spell-
-CC full of Loons (Max if possible)-
*Deploy 1 drag and BK on outside to clear any outside buildings to prevent drags from not funneling to the middle.
*Once you clear some buildings, place your dragons in a straight line where you cleared buildings (make sure you are close to air defenses)
*Once your drags get to arch towers/air defenses, drop CC and rage the middle to take down air defense as fast as possible.
*Heal a group of dragons when needed, dont waste it
*Wait out the raid and you should be fine
2. GoWiPe: Heres what you need
-3 Pekkas-
-2 golems-
-10-11 Wiz-
-10 Wallbreakers (What I use) -
-lightning spell-
-2 Rage spells or 1 rage and 1 heal-
*Check for CC troops, if there is lure them out and use the lightning spell
*Send in both Golems for a meat shield
*Right after you send in Golems to soak up the defenses, back them up with a line of all your wizards.
*Rage where the Golems are and most of the wizards and send in all of your wall breakers, the wall beakers move insanely fast so you should be good with breaking through the walls.
*Deploy BK and use the other rage when needed/ close to TH or heal spell
*Deploy CC troops, you should have either another Pekka in there, Golem, or some Wiz
*The troops should do work and get a 1 star-2star (THIS ATTACK REQUIRES PRACTICE)
3. GoWiVa: Here what you need
-2 Golems-
-10 Valkaries-
-12 Wizards-
-6 Wallbreakers-
-2 Heal spells and 1 rage spell-
-CC 1 Valk, 4 Wiz, 1 Arch-
*Deploy Golems where you think attacking is best
*Back them up with your wizards
*Send in Wallbreakers to break first layer of walls
*Send in the valks to clear second layer
*Send in a couple more wall breakers to help out your troops
*Get ready to start using those heal spells and rage spell soon
*Clean up with CC troops and BK
I use 10 lvl3 dragons with 3 lvl4 rage spells. Lvl2 also work because I used this tactic at th7 too. I just deploy all drags in a line near an air defends and use rage near the middle. Not exactly the best mass drag guide lol
If ithe opponenet is a th8, best way is Hogs. No th8s can practically defend lvl4+ hogs. But if u r a fresher in to Hogs, U need to practice alot.
If the opponent is th9, Gowipe is worth a try.
If the opponent is th10, Forget it. Let someone else take it.;)

Drags and minions work well for me, Air defense attacks the minions leaving the drags free to cause havoc :cool:
