if I were to upgrade to TH9 right now, on a scale of 1-100, how rushed would I be? (1 being totally fine, normal, and 100 being "you would be the most rushed person in the history of clash")

Around 70/100. You need to max every th, th6-8 being the most important to max. I wouldn't worry so much about L8 walls, do them at th9. Legos aren't really needed and they take forever. Max building and troops, barb king as well if you can. I am being serious. MAX TOWN HALLS. Okay, your walls make you look that bit better. I am not going to lie. I went to th9 in a much worse state than that. I deeply regret that. My base is OKAY and I am still trying to fix my rush after 8 months. You should be at th8 for another 3-5 months depending on how well you do. You know all those 'loot is bad' threads? They are mostly by th9s and 10s.

I would put you on the scale at 90 if you were to upgrade to TH 9 now. You would regret it for sure. Not only the loot penalties but also clan war matches. To often I have seen are clan get matched with a clan that has all premature TH 10s and 9s and they get thrashed because are bases are much stronger than there bases. However tempting it may be it is better at least to wait until all your defenses are maxed.

First thing I look at when a TH8 is deliberating their progress is Teslas. And your Teslas are a long way off.
Probably give it a 75, because there are still a number of bases rushed even more than that…which I love to loot. :cool:
