Do I tell my clannies my secret?

Indeed as the title suggests I have a secret that will cause a possible onslaught of bullying from my clan mates; do I tell them?

My secret is a desire to have my clan castle completely filled with their grubby little goblins. I first realised that I had this problem when we voted on expelling a member for constantly sending these lowly beasts when they are strictly prohibited from inter-village travel. A spout of goblin spamming followed between a selection of elders and the roads between our villages soon stank of that smell you get on your hands if you hold old coins for too long. Annoying? Yes. But what if we had 25 ferreting around in the CC?

I usually bring cannon fodder into battle, men of braun first, sharp shooting beauties next and finally, a hoard of scavengers. My thought was that the only troop I tend to send out from one point and not respect their space is those sneaky goblins. The others are always guided with more consideration so with less control over placement of the troops from allied villages, why not breed less of the cretins and hold them in the CC?!

So, with that in mind, do I request goblins to try this out and risk forever more having a useless combination of archers and goblins from 'funny' members of the clan pretending they thought I wanted them? Or am I being ridiculous?

For attacking they might not be too bad, but they are not good for defence in my opinion.

Personally, I will take anything in the CC if it will be used for offense.

Defensively, though, I have my preferences. Goblins are an acceptable troop for defense in my opinion. They are far better than giants or wallbreakers, that's for sure.

Request whatever troops you want. I think you can survive the vicious onslaught sure to follow.

Not sure of the reason why so many people don't like goblins. I'm farming at the moment and they usually make up at least 30% of my troop call-out. There is no other troop as efficient as the goblin for grabbing loot. On the other hand, if I'm trophy hunting, I don't use them as much. I don't trophy hunt very much lately. trophies don't pay for upgrades...:)

Much to my surprise -- and contrary to popular belief -- they are decent on defense, particularly as a full pack. I had a pack of 20-25 Lev 5 Goblins pop out of an opponents CC and they instantly took out 12 of my lev 6 Giants and nearly killed my Golem...:p My Archers finally stopped this craziness. But I couldn't believe it.

Also, WB's can blow up Golems and Pekks...

WB's do very little damage against those Golems and pekkas though... unless that 40x damage boost to walls also applies to troops?

I decided to open up to my clannies and reveal my true feelings, which they promptly trampled on. I wrote down my thoughts in my diary which I have copied and pasted below:

Tuesday 14th May:
Dear Diary,
It has been a while since I have written in you but I am troubled by dark thoughts. I want goblins. Lots of them. But what if my clan mates berate me for being different? I will try to seek guidance in the forums, I can only hope that the one with two half faces doesn't chance upon my thread...

Wednesday 15th May:
Dear Diary,
All has been made clear to me, today I stood up to fear itself and asked for greedy green beasts. A barrage of abuse followed, even threats of isolation but I was strong, and they only had words. Well they had more than words, they had wall breakers. In attempt to belittle me, they had sent the one remaining 'worst troop' to donate but I didn't let them see me cry; I had come too far to show weakness.

I turned to comfort eating and devoured my sandwhich; lightly toasted rye bread with honey cured bacon, Stilton and dark chocolate - beat that supersteve (don't knock it until you try it, I don't normally even like Stilton).

Thursday 16th May
Dear Diary,
After a few full CC of goblins I feel proud for standing my ground and have the following reflections:

A full compliment of goblins is great in the CC for attack, especially for those occasions when you realise you are about to expose storages and need to quickly spam goblins at the same time as releasing barbs/archers. For defence they are actually quite good but you'd better hope there aren't flying troops...

A combination of archers/goblins in the CC is rubbish for attack in my opinion, a few goblins simply aren't enough to do anything useful. In defence the combo is ok but the gobs are too quick and in small numbers they get picked off and isolated quickly.

So, I did it, but I still wonder if I will forever more get a few useless gobs mixed in with archers? Worse still, was that honey cured bacon related to baconman?
