There should be a button only available to the leader of each clan during prep time, to where they can hit it if their clan is ready to go to war that second and when both clans leaders hit it before the full time expires it will start the war when both have agreed that their clans are ready.
This is actually a really good idea. I have wanted prep day to end early many many times.
Its not good though. Some people could have had dragons in their barracks and was gonna donate them but the war starts early thanks to the leader and the other leader.
I myself would never hit it. My clan has lives outside COC so they would want their 24 hour notice they can count on. it would be mean to them for me to do otherwise.
It would be good though for kids or anyone that has nothing else going in their lives but this game because those are the people that get left just twiddling their thumbs until war starts.
But any time taken off prep day would have to get added to battle day so that SC can keep their 48 cycle between bonus payouts.

So say if his clan is located in Japan. Well then I would accept it when its mid night in Japan. So they loose a few hours of war and we have the heads up. But then again the other clan would have enough time to come back.
Above is the reason i think clash of clans never did this.(You are not the first to think of this. I'm sure clash of clans debated this already.)
So the 48 hr wars give the clan ample time to donate to their players. It also gives time for players to change up their war bases. But most of all it allows both clans to choose a good time for their war day to Start.
But this would throw all that away so before you click the start war first think of that before. (then press start war)
Honestly, and this is my opinion, I don't see this happening. I mean what if there's one member that isn't logged on and was gonna donate to castles but couldn't because of this? What if you have a huge clan and only... let's say 30/45 members were on and weren't even prepared and you skipped prep day so they couldn't have time to plan out strategies? Some players I know that play clash constantly often stalk people that they're gonna do a revenge raid on and wait until their shield goes out (if they have one and don't time out first) and they plan for as long as 8-15 hours sometimes. Besides, how would you get in contact with the other leader? What if they're in a different timezone and they're sleeping when you're awake? What if they don't speak English or whatever language you speak? This really isn't a good idea to be honest, but if you think it is, I respect your opinion that you would think that.
