I would argue that a base with an exposed and untrapped town hall should not be primarily concerned with barch attacks. Most barch attacks are not even trying to get 100%. If your town hall is exposed, most people using barch won't even bother to do a full attack (unless the collectors are really full which shouldn't happen to an exposed town hall since they get attacked quickly if in a decent league). The primary concern should be protecting against armies that were made to go for storages.
