Will snipe and barch mostly. Will keep 10-12 giants and BK ready for trapped town halls. I think I should make it there. Will use dragons in the last leg, if there is need.
I had reached 2488 as a TH6 earlier. But gave up. Now I am TH7 near max (All walls done, only 1 archer tower left, only a few troops left to upgrade) . And it's time to hit the master league.
Will keep you guys updated with interesting events in my push.
By the way, when is the 1-gem boost ending? Pardon my ignorance.
I think the gem boost ends on the 7th, and good luck on your journey to masters. Use your gems from masters wisely.

Reached Crystal 2 after 2 days of on and off playing. It wasn't tough.
There were some town hall trappers as expected. (Hope they die and burn in hell for eternity. They should be hanged till death in my opinion. But anyway)
I had 12 giants ready for trapped town halls. 3 giants per tesla coil takes care of it.
I managed to star them in all the cases except only one time when my army camp was only half full at the time of attack.
Anyway, things are becoming difficult now. It's difficult to find exposed town halls now. I will need more patience.
Another option is boosting barracks and going for all dragon attacks. I will do that for last 100 trophies.
Do mass drags. Search for good bases and use the boost to help.
I disagree, there are TONS of farmers in masters. The thing is we get sniped so fast and get a shield that you won't see us as often.Quote:

Will try mass dragon now. One batch of 10 dragons take 23 minutes to make (with boosted barracks). I will have to be online for that time. So, in one hour I will get only 3 attacks.
In 3 attacks we get about 15 trophies. So, I will have to be online for 6 hours non-stop.
This is too much effort. I will give it a try once again but it looks difficult.
Maybe I will go for Master with my TH8 troops.
Trust me, do not quit yet. The 2400-2550 part made me drop 4-5 times, though after that it gets super easy. As an example, I reached 2550 again yesterday and now I am 2665, so after 2550, the trophy offers and number of weak bases and snipes are a lot.Quote:

I gave up not because I couldn't get there, but because I couldn't find any loot up there. (I'm not complaining just saying it was draining my storages trying to hog bases up in high crystal.
Stick with it and you can get there. Just do long sessions and keep your th outside and hope for a snipe.
No point in putting it inside because you'll just get wiped.

Don't wait until th 8. It's easier at th 7, although it requires lots of patience for the last bit. People will still crush you in that range whether you are th 7 or 8, but due to the loot penalty it won't cost you much in resources. At the same time, nexting is cheaper, and th 8 troops won't really give you that much more power than a full lvl 2 dragon army.
Best of luck with the last bit - I've got my townhall in the corner for you at around 2600 trophies. :-)

I found that all worked in my favour, when I did it at th 7. That was almost exclusively sniping at the end, though. A mid-level th 8 will probably have a slightly easier time winning some real battles, but you need fairly well upgraded th 8 troops before it beats a dragon army anyway.

It is easier at TH7 than TH8 cos of loot penalty. I m not saying they will not 3 star u, but it will remove those who r essentially farming for resources. U r already maxed so go all dragons n rage n heal. 2500-2600 is the toughest. U need 4 hrs to get abt 50 trophies, unless u r very lucky.

Just one advice, when you're getting closer to Masters it's better to put your TH outside. There's not way to stop getting steamrolled and getting three-starred no matter what you do. Instead only lose the one star and gain a long and peaceful 12 hour shield.
So, I did it. I am finally in Master League. It took some efforts but I managed it with just archers and giants. Only on 2 occasions I lost to trapped town halls. After 2550, exposed town halls were rare, so it took some patience.
Barrack boosting didn't help much. But it was cheap so I did it.
Now I have 1833 gems. Will get 200 more gems in a week (from 150 war stars). That means, fifth builder in a week.
Will start upgrade to TH8 after a week.
Thanks for the motivation guys. I think even TH6 can make it to Master League. And even lower town halls as well.

It is possible with ease until 2500 after that for those 100 trophies you should next a lot.
I reached 2605 with max TH6. Now i try to reach champs with max TH7 but I decided to do it in one week and it seems impossible in 7 days. Im now at 2810 but i will give up.

ALWAYS put your TH completely outside and untrapped. There is a big chance that even a TH10 just snipe you.
Somebody snipe me yesterday at Masters2.
Just posting to say that I just did this in 4 days, with about 4-6 hours dedicated per day, and starting at 1000 trophies. I'm a mid level TH7, and just grinded it out. There's a very real dropoff of snipable town halls at 2500+, but they're still there. I got all the way to 2601 by sniping only. On my final climb from 2525 -> 2600, I scrolled through over 3000 bases, and attacked about 18 of them. That means I attacked 0.6% of all bases I looked at, so if you're finding that snipable bases are hard to find, that's not an uncommon experience. In addition, a large number of the snipable THs at 2500+ are trapped, so you need to be prepared to deal with hidden teslas.
