Level 8 Walls worth it at TH8??

Any TH9/10s out there, is it worth upgrading all my walls to level 8???

If you are in rush to upgrade your town hall to get new things, no. If you want to have an easier farming experience, yes (loot penalty catches up). My recommendation though, is to max them while upgrading defenses so you wouldn't be an attractive loot target!

Of course! Those lvl 8 walls will look really badass. ;) I've maxed up all structures during my th8 days. And I regret nothing on it :D Worth the grind I'm telling ya :)

If you can still upgrade some building, doing walls here and there might help. But if you have nothing else to upgrade but walls, it isn't really worth it.

What I am doing as a th8 is trying to do as many elixir upgrades done so I can be finished with them (except troops) so I can use better armies than barch to attack gold storages, while using elixir on good troops. And then just farm resources and when it's time to upgrade a defense use any excess gold to do some walls. Wash, rinse, repeat. And with the 1 gem boosts for a few more days armies like giant healer can be trained in a few minutes

Yes and troops upgrades including spells are worth it also.. Few players will have the reservation I had. It's funny that by holding back, finishing my lab, king and walls, now I've suddenly passed anyone I was close to before who didn't max completely out. Everyone wants to rush to TH9 for that extra two damage per archer but it's not beneficial. What is beneficial is making yourself a less attractive target and maxing out. What's beneficial in war is not having great defenses, having defenses that are well matched to your troops levels. People come to bad conclusions such as using Dragons for now in war as an early TH9, or continuing to use to use hogs. But you need options to attack a th9 base or otherwise you're an easy 3 stars with a missed attempt in return.

I'm also a current TH8 and would say that it is a good idea to max walls; I'm currently done 148; however, I play around in CIII and it does not make a difference on defence. I get run over by L6 troops pretty regularly. The way I look at it is, I'll have less wall upgrades to do when I get to TH9.

Walls are always worth it imo as long as your not going to sit idle for a long period of time just doing walls. I just hit TH9 and I can tell you it's a huge relief to only have to upgrade 25 walls to match my skulls.

Heres what i did/am doing

I made all my walls level 7 while i was th8 and i maxed my troops and defenses, i did a few lvl 8 walls with overflowing gold but not many.

As soon as my troops and defenses were maxed i went town hall 9.....at some point in town hall 9 your elixir will start overflowing so i will work on lvl 8 and 9 walls at the same time.

I will use gold for level 8 walls obviously and then use any spare/ overflowing elixir to do my lvl 8 walls to lvl 9.

Ive recently started doing this and its working out quite nicely.

Whichever you decide it will all work out just fine.....but th9 is a better place to be in my opinion because thats when your de drills start to make a huge impact in the upgrading of your heros.
Also archer queen is great and getting loot that no other troop can get to because of the fact that she has a longer attack range than any other troop in the whole game.

Archer queen is a real game changer.

I say go to th9 and worry about your walls later...thats what i did and i have no regrets.
