As the topic states, i want to use GoWiPe as a TH 8 for the first time in war. Before making an attack there, I thought of doing one in Multi-player raid. I did, on a Mid TH 8 & got 78%. I did get enough resources to cover up the cost but not the 3 stars. :(
I would like to receive some tips before I try it out in War.

ARMY COMPOSITION
2 golems
2 PEKKA
12 Wall breakers
2 Barbarians
2 Archers
Rest Wizards
1 lightning spell
2 rage spells
Spread golems out and then immediately place wizards spread out behind them. Leave 4-8 wizards behind.
Send in 2 groups of 3 wall breakers to break walls for golems. Do almost at the same time. Use rest of them to lead troops into center of base.
Send in Pekkas after they have a clear path into the base. Do the same with heroes.
Send in rages once they get into the path leading to center of base with town hall then another rage inside the center.
Leave the rest to do their work.

What is best to have in the cc? My clan has level 2 witches and level 3 pekkas. As well as level 5 wiz of course.

I always ask for a pekka, witches or wiz. It really helps me if i get the wiz or witches but a pekka does the trick too. :D

My war attack went well & I made 3 star for my Clan. ;) Though I did mess up a little since the Pekkas went to the left side (Outside) with a few wizards behind them while the Golems went to the right (Outside) with a few wizards behind them [After cleaning the first layer of defenses behind the wall], whereas they were just about to go towards the center when they changed their course. Only the king went towards the Center along with 4-5 Wizards. I used 2 Rage & 1 Heal but the Heal spell wasn't needed. Even though it didn't went according to the way it should have, I'm still happy that i got a 3 star. :D [It was a Mid TH 8]
I only have problems with the wbs. About half of them die & only half of them make it to blow up the wall. :(
it be easier with a video of your attack for people to explain what went good and bad during it. (any experianced guys in your clan to discuss it with?)
A few tricks i use (works for me but others may say no to it) I set the golems to go at the wall and as soon as the defences concentrate on them i send in the Wbs to break open the walls to allow the golems inside. pekka love to walk around the outside and smash up the outer buildings which is why target selection is important. (layouts with all inside walls are good options for pekka) BUT too many wall sections such as those annoying square compartment layouts can delay attacks and kill your troops as golems level 1 are bad with walls and u dont want 20 wbs.
Also once your wbs smash the wall and the golems are inside you may release the enemy CC troops which if you drop your pekka at this point i find they head towards the CC troops meaning now they are inside and a nice rage spell can help speed up the CC death.
other option is to release the wizards before the pekka to destroy the outer building to help direct the pekka inside
Well fiet of all, gowipe is not successful on all base . Bases which have a large number of inter wall sections usually aare a 2 star hit
Next, pekkas shouls be at least lv 2

Okay so firstly, send out your golem to the side of the cc, where defenses are just behind one wall.
Next sprinkle up the wizards, about 10 of them
Soon as you see cc troops coming out, drop a rage with the circumference of at least 2 walls.
Then if you see a good amount of damage caused to your golems drop a heal(if cc contains barch, no need)
Soon after the rage drop 4-5 of wbs. This will lead to a clear path for golems to a few layers if rage is well placed
Once all the side buildings are taken drop in 3 pekkas and the bk
See them destroy the base. Use the 2 wbs when you feel is necessary
Further, if the pekkas go straight to th, rage them there
Gowipe is one of the best war strats after hogs, I believe. But still, as hogs wont work on an antihog base, goowipe would b a fail in a base hving multiple inner wall sections, as your troops would just be busy breakin walls in that situation.

If this is a new attack strategy for you I would advise running it in at least 3 raids before you integrate it as a war attack strategy you'd like to succeed with. Might be to late for that at this point but w/e works and good luck.
As a Th9 I'll often run;
3 Golem
2 Pekka
4 Witches (2 in CC)
Wizards
Wallbreakers
At least 2 Rage, Heal and Jump depending.
