Temporary small troop boosts.
Okay, just going for it. I had a thought a while back about an armory, but when I checked rejected ideas, I saw equipment for troops on thee list. I felt that it applied to permanent upgrades, so if someone from SC could correct me if I'm wrong I'll bury this.
I was thinking that a building could be put up that upgraded at the same pace as the barracks, solely for the purpose of providing a spell-like troop enhancement for ONE battle. The idea is 1 new slot per 3 levels, capping at 4 for level 10. Ideas would be a shield providing 10 health for barbarians, longbows for +1 range for archers, big bags for goblins giving them 3x damage to resources, blast armor for giants protecting them from, say, 3 blasts from any bomb or mortars. You get the idea, but the gear doesn't upgrade, so lower level players out for revenge have a shot against that next th level up without it making as much of a difference for someone attacking down.
The equipment would need to be selected pre-battle, though if concidered, I would leave it to SC to decide if it needs to be used pre attack, in base, or during battle prep. It is concidered used up after selection and use, and must be re-stocked at the cost of gold. This will make it possible to expend something other than elixer to get decent troops, and maybe lend some variety to war attack choices.
I'm putting this out there for serious concideration, because it doesn't eliminate the need for upgrading troops, and spells have a small area of powerful effect. These are more torwards smaller, wider spread buffs. Please comment seriously.
