Heroes during UG: Statue of War
Function: Houses the spirit of either the Barbarian King or the Archer Queen (one large statue, or two different statues if wanted) and allows them to be used during attacks in war (but not defense or normal raids unless SC wants) when their normal altar is upgrading.
Decoration Use: For those with Max heroes already this will act as a simple decoration.
Availability: Th9 when both heroes are unlocked.
Cost: Some predetermined amount of gems if SC wants it limited to paying customers, or an amount of gold fitting of the function, with the possibility of an offering having to be made of gold/elixir/dark elixir for your current war to make them available..
Description: Those willing to devote more to their King and Queen will find them useful in their time of war.
Background:
The ability to use heroes during ug has been a much contested topic I believe.This simply creates a way to feel upgrading your heroes isn't detrimental to your clash experience for those willing to pay the gems for the statue. Before the addition of clan wars a way to use heroes during upgrade wouldn't have been as desired, since while it does affect farming and trophy pushing, it isn't the end of the world since you can always collector raid or use slightly different armies or hit easier bases for a star.
With the clan wars introduction, you have to either opt out of the war by leaving the clan and rejoining since heroes are extremely relevant in high level attacks, or find a different clan that doesn't war as much but doesn't include people you are friends with, who may want to war all the time. You essentially are forced into depriving yourself of an activity that many get to enjoy because you can't war at your best, and improve your ability to attack at the same time, and part of clan wars was meant to be people doing their best against others best, which is why all defences are available.
And while I imagine Hero availabity during war has been requested before, the means suggested to accomplish that either werent feasible, or didn't fit with how SC wanted the game to function without certain contradictions arising. This was meant to provide a solution while also not changing the core principle surrounding gemming heroes, as this only affects war gameplay, And not trophy pushing/farming a max base.
