very simple explanation HE went to th10 before the profile update came out, and never logged on after that update came out, so the game never registered what he had currently, and just displayed the original achievement goal.
Thought of that but it's not possible. His profile says he is TH8 so he would have had to somehow start upgrading his TH from 9 to 10 without visiting his village for this to work. I still can't come up with a rational explanation for this.Quote:

No it doesn't work. If the update came out while the TH10 upgrade was happening his profile would say he was a TH9 not TH8. If it came out while he was upgrading to TH9 he couldn't visit his village to upgrade to TH10 or again his profile would say he was TH9. He cannot have two TH difference between his profile TH and his actual TH using this theory.Quote:

This is just the profile of a player who quit clash of clans between May 2013 and August 2013. Town hall 10 update was in May 2013 and the player must have been playing at that point as he upgraded his town hall to level 10, at some point over the next couple of months he lost interest in the game and has never logged back in again since.
In August 2013 the profile update was released and once you logged in your profile corrected itself to show town hall 10 as your current townhall level, previously it would have simply recorded this as level 8 as this was the highest permitted under the old system where there was no profile. Essentially before the profile update the highest value that was recorded was whatever value was needed to complete the 3 star level of an achievement.
The other odd thing is he has a Gem Box & Christmas Tree.
If the account really is that old, would it not have hit the obstacle limit making those spawns impossible?
Very interesting post! My hypothesis:
You know how when a player goes inactive and just gains trophies off defense they don't add up in the sweet victory achievement? Same thing might go for his case, though I don't understand how it could be two town hall levels!

No, the limit does not apply to those obstacles. I really don't see why there's any confusion: th 10 with level 11 gold storage, but achievements only go up to th 8 and level 10 gold storage. The profiles came out but they didn't work for him because he didn't log in.Quote:
