Capping off at TH7 after I max it out... good or bad idea?

Hey SC! So I've got a question and would like some thoughts from those more experienced players. I've recently started CoC not too long ago and am only lvl43 at TH7 that is currently being built. I noticed that during war, some of our lower level members aren't doing so well at attacking or defending. My idea was to provide the clan some assistance in cleaning up the bottom half of our clan by capping off at TH7. Meaning I will no longer upgrade after everything is maxed out at th7.

Some may think well won't that get boring? But personally I don't think so. I'll still be able to attack and mess around with my trophy count as well as participate in wars. So i'm wondering if this is a dumb idea or if there are any, if any, advantages to doing so. Maybe advantages to a clan by having me capped off at th7? I don't know much about the game and further levels to determine if this idea will be useless in the long run or if there are any other th levels I should better shoot for. I say th7 because I get better and stronger troops and along with a few defense items as well.

I've been thinking about this for the past few weeks and would like insight from others. Some of my friends can see where this can be useful like helping out the bottom half of the war but not getting much feedback from them.

I'm not sure but I think the system match up clan war opponents by levels of defenses so ad long as u don't upgrade defenses u will still meet low levels in cw even if u upgraded ur th.

not sure if I confused you by how lengthy my post was. But mainly, in my last clan I noticed the lower level people weren't doing so good. So they would attack and get no stars or 1 star during war. The reason I would want to cap off at th7 is to stay at a "lower level" that can assist those newer people (lower leveled players) cleanup and get the leftover 2-3 stars from the bases the low level players couldn't 3 star. Does that make sense?

My thought is that if I keep upgrading my bases and th, I will eventually leave that position and won't be able to help the lower level players in my clan out. Because I keep upgrading my base and th, I will need to help my higher level members in attacking the high level bases, therefore I cannot devote any attacks to "clean up" the 1-2 star enemy bases that my lower level clan members left behind.

I want to be like a "backup system" for my lower level players. If they can't get the job done, I can help them with the troubled bases. Hope that makes sense and I'm not repeating the same thing 4 different ways (which does happen lol)

by the way, upgrading TH but leaving my defenses alone would make my base weak. Therefore I may get 3 starred more often, right? It would just put me at a disadvantage over my opponents. I'm thinking this would be a similar effect in war when you rush your TH?

How about making another "mini-account". Get it up to TH7, max out your walls, your AD, and archer towers (against those dragon attacks). You'll be looting a lot at TH7 so max out those walls with all the loot you're getting and get your AD to level 5. Only max out your dragons to lvl 2, maybe you need to take out some low-mid TH8s (you will need to). Your other troops, just focus maxing your farming troops.

I thought about that as well when I am about to upgrade my TH 7 to 8... look at my base (if u can) and you will know if its a good or bad idea....

What I mean was, the way I'm clan wars people match is by considering their defenses, not town halls. So if u upgrade th and leave defenses, it is very likely u will get similar opponents as if u didn't upgrade, but u have stronger troops …
