My farm pattern is when I get to Master 2, I drop to gold 1 and farm up. So I drop about every season.
The reason why is for the diversity: I 100% people from gold 1 to crystal 1 (loon, valks, hogs, etc), and then barch to farm. It breaks the monotony.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one doing that!
I do the same with dragloon, with the boosting event time isn't really much of an issue.
Maybe because it's quicker, such as if they have a lot of loot in their storage and want to drop before (insert event here (sleep, work, school)) so that their loot's safe.
I prefer to drop all at once, so I can focus on winning all my raids (either 50% barch or all in with good army). It's good practice for war!
i farm to masters then i drop using mass goblins till i hit g3.

loot sucks the higher you go until youre in champs, so people drop frequently
I drop trophies to protect my loots
They're finding the loots.
I've dropped two leagues intentionally because the heavy hitters are more abundant than usual. Also, it makes sense to farm right now being able to take advantage of the boost to get stronger defenses going. I've looted close to 40 mil since the boost first started earlier in December.
