I'll rephrase my Q:
With Th 10 C1 ,when looking for opponents ,finding bases(also TH 10 - 9 ) with 10 to 30k of elixir and gold AVAILABLE . Regardless of how you raid it. 3 stars or no stars 10k is all u get.
This is the problem.
Not the strategy , not the TH penalties ,
I've heard that changing servers might help ...
Or maybe I'm missing something ..

Barch at M2/3.. 100k loot bonus, cheap army and not alot of nexting, i farmed all my legos this way (only issue is that doesnt go towards your GG which blows)
Try going to Masters 3 and just use barch with boosted barracks and heros. It's an insanely cheap army. Bring a few lightning spells to take out huts and hero pads in case of emergency.
Just go for the loot bonus. Anything else you get is icing.
You will reap the rewards if you practice at it and get it down.
Not another whiner about loot.
And what army are you using that costs 300k lol. Thats certainly not a farming army
Going for loot bonus in m3 just shows how sucky it is. 100 barbs and 140 archers cost 76k. Loot bonus is 100k.Quote:

Im th10 and im farming/ trophey pushing in māsterś 2 and I have no problem with loot. I have kept 5 builders working non stop all through the stages where everyone has been saying loot is terrible (except for strait after the elixer for walls update first came out, that was tough). So to all the complainers now I say this; get over it and farm higher or quit the game and get off these forums. It's a simple as that.Quote:

People are asking SC to "fix" the wrong thing. Loot is ♥♥♥♥. I get that...but if it were great, it would not be very long until you hit that dead end...better loot just gets you there faster.

Teenagers have a flair for the dramatic. An adult might make a post and say "can someone help me out? I'm recently having trouble getting loot and im not sure why, it's very frustrating. Here is my army comp and trophy range..." Where a kid with full-blown hormone rage will say "this game is impossible! Supercell is greedy! I hate everything!" Remember that this game is probably at least half kids, if not a lot more than that, and the forums will be easier to navigate, or so I've found.

I'm a mid lvl TH10 and currently in M3 and having good luck! M2 is good too!
I use max goblins (40) & archers (40) with a mix bag of giants, hogs, minions, and (8-10) wb's.
I use this combo for several reasons like the cost is cheap & all the barracks finish together almost to the second that way I can reload as I am "nexting"... Good luck

I'm glad i did my lavas back in the day...You dont seem to be having an issue banging them in but I certainly would not be able to do 5 a day on the servers I seem to play on...even if i insta-gemmed GOWIPE all day, I honestly do not see enough loot in the bases to generate 7m or so of each resource...more if you take away the gold search cost which probably runs into 1m+ for a full day of back to back raids...

Hey Carlito good to see you - i'm a lightweight farmer compared to some (yourself included) - the guy farming hardest currently in Lunar is Maybac! he's up to 1406 wins this season so probably over 2k farming raids, he's at Gold 1 right now is pretty good for loot.Quote:

I became TH10 very recently (about 10 days ago) and I found terrible loot for days... so I decided to push to Masters 3 and see if loot is any better. I have spent at least a day in every league and slowly dropped back to Crystal 3. I can make a consistent 2.5m elixir, 2m gold in a 2 hour boost with pure barch (no wallbreakers or giants). Most people have semi-exposed elixir storages which is perfect since I can spend it on lvl11 walls. I always go for raids where I can grab at least 100k elixir, plus 35k from the league bonus.
My last 10 raids:
Gold / Elixir / Dark elixir / League bonus (35k/35k/100)
(2 raids to drop some trophies to stay in 1950 range)
29 / 150 / 0 / yes
148 / 103 / 200 / yes

It isn't the fabulous loot that I am used to from TH9 (yes, I loved TH9 loot) but I can keep my builders busy and also build zap walls. Loot will probably get better after the 1 gem barracks boost ends and the holidays are over.
6.5m gold yesterday, but only 1.5m elix. No barrack boosting, so not tied to my ipad/chair just nipping on when troops ready.
Having massive fun smashing anything shy of maxed th10 with lv7 giants, witches, arch. And heroes and spells of course.
Not the most loot efficient, but fun and profitable.
I dont understand anyone that says no loot, or operating at a loss. Its nonsense. 300k comp is also nonsense, mine still only 210k with all those max troops and spells.
Anyone nexting 200 times is crazy. Reload game, move trophy range, but most importantly, have realistic expectations. If youre looking for an elix profit on a 300k comp, how many bases do you honestly expect to find with capped lix storages?
Choices. Raid cheap and often (barch). Preferably in as high a league as possible for bonus. Remember, even if you see big loot, most of it will be out of reach.
Or, big girl pants on, go for massive storage raids. Sounds like OP is trying to do this at the moment, but i would suggest bit too much of cake and eat it. Theres far too much competition if you want loaded th9s in the lower leagues. Loaded th10s in higher leagues with a massive bonus on top, theres PLENTY.

Hopefully we can chat more when the game evolves and I am enticed to get more engaged once again...until then my time is split on some other titles that are currently loads of fun - but I do miss the old days of clash where every spare minute was used to try and get a raid in! :D
2 weeks into th10, loot is fantastic at 2200 cups. Using loonian farming elixir only. DE filling up and gold as well. Have built both infernos, xbow, cc upgrade, lab upgrade, spell factory, golem 5 in research, and 3 camps. With the boost special I am farming about 5-6 million per day of each. I see no problems at all. Very repeatable, and no luck needed, nexting less than 30 usually. I usually skip over several bases with loaded storages to find easier storage raids. The loot is there, if you cant find it you may need to get in the right league, or use a better farming army.
I've cut way back on my "farming" also known as "nexting". If I don't find a target i just put the game down for a day or 5....
Played the game on a jail broken phone the other day, had a mod that lets u put the amount of resources you want to search for and finds it automatically for you.
Could be just the mod you need fella.

Go up in trophies. Farming is gangbusters in the 3600-3700 range as most people don't care about protecting their resources.
I am finding the raids like you describe using miniball. I think you might be a little to high in cups to pull it off with 1 spell. I find the sweet spot to be around 2200. Or range from 2100-2300. After 2300 the bases are much tougher and require more spells for me. I am farming my elixir upgrades so I am not using spells. There are tons of premie Th10, and Th9's here with loaded storages. I have not had to next more than 5 minutes. I attack during my breaks at work and they last no longer than 5 minutes. Might be a little lower than your de your looking for but I typically find 250/250/1200-1500 pretty frequently. Just a suggestion.Quote:

I've passed 1 billion of both gold and elixir. I'm nearing 5 million HH as well. I've never once used barch, bam, or mass archers.
Not saying loot is always great as a TH10. But it is there if you actually make the effort to go and find it.
I am in the same boat as you. Been trying to farm from 2500 cups upto 3000 cups. Finding it impossible to farm for All 3 resources. You can get 1 resource not all 3. But you need to press next too often. You will be moaned at by the current players on this forum.Quote:

I have mostly given up raiding, but had one good hour on Jan 2 about 9:00 am central time (gmt+6 I think). Made about 1.5M gold in about 50 minutes. Then suddenly, it was gone. It was like someone threw a switch and all I was seeing were 30K/30K bases.
I personally belive that time of day and world region significantly affects the clash of clans game experience. If you're in a poor spot (location or time), it's just too bad. Over half the forums won't even belive you, much less care.
My solution has been to quit raiding. This last week was the first time I raided back to back in months, and I don't plan to do it again soon. The collectors keep me full enough for war. That has to be good enough, as it's that or nothing.

Downside is GG and EE don't really move up so people will accuse you of gemming but it's the quickest way ive found of really pushing my upgrades. Good post, especially the bold highlighted part. I also believe some players must be playing a different version of this game to me. I have found the loot has been terrible for a very long time. There must be an explanation why some think the loot is ok/good. I'm a fresh th 10 and I'm having a hard time farming elixir. I'm barching g2-c3 and only gains pitiful amount of elixir. But with gold and dark elixir, I don't have any problem farming them.
I am a th 10 just need to max my walls and I'm done unless something else comes out next update.
Yesterday I did 3 walls from lvl 10 to lvl 11 in a 2 hour boost day before I did 4.
the problem lies with what trophy range you farm in and troops you use you need to be prepared for storage raids collector raids are not so common especially with the 1 gem boost and it being fresh after the holidays everyone is still on clash fever
I think a large part of it is a change in their definition of good. It is highly unlikely they are finding loot of the same caliber they used to in the same frequency. What has most likely changed is they are accepting bases with less loot than they used to, they changed their raiding style (e.g. going for storages), and they are nexting more than before. However, because they can still fill their storages (though it takes longer than before) they claim loot is still good. They adapted to the poor loot situation and changed their definition of "good" loot.Quote:

Question... I'm pushing using loonion, so I know its not exactly the same, but I don't see how you can use so few loons with no spells and still win/access the storages. Is there a guide you may have used or a certain type of base you're looking for? I know of surgical loonion, and I want to use this strategy with your army count after our trophy push but after cruising through m3, I don't see how I could get the 50% and most of the storages. I feel like i'm missing something and hopefully i'll pick it up with practice, i'd love for my army to be covered elixir wise by the bonus so I can just focus on DE and 16 loons isn't a crazy training time. I'm TH9 with max minions (5) and loons.Quote:

A quick to train army.
Regular collector raids
Minimal nexting
Regular 200/200+ storages on searches.
I cannot help you there, as that seems rather unreasonable.
You can have a quick to train army, get big league bonuses, small loot or occasional nice collector grab.
Or, you can have a slower more expensive army, that will get a greater number of storages.
If you want to reduce nexting, then whichever you decide, make it as high a league as possible.
You CANNOT have all 3, with easy as well.
You can high level barch for minimal nexting, speed, and loot through bonus.
You can go crazy with spells and smash up to 400/400 from big boys in m2+m1. (2 of those today for me), and far more won in 1 raid than pre dec 13.
Or, you can get big easy loot, with whatever troops you want. In the lower leagues. For hours of nexting.
CHOOSE.
Why do you think this request is unreasonable? It's just a game man....it's suppose to be relaxing and fun. Waiting 3 hours for an army to smash big bases is not fun for a lot of people...of of course hitting next 200 times isn't either.Quote:

And many of us did play before Dec 13 when the game truly was fun, and not a huge grind.
Regardless of whether it's bunnies, more traffic, or SuperCell hiding the inactives, it's just not as fun to farm anymore. Grinding out league bonuses is just horrible. The fun came from seeing the huge score, and that is pretty much gone.
I have chosen, I barch for league bonus as high up as I can manage (currently crystal 2 as a TH9 with no heroes and usually no spells). I remember the fun I used to have looking for bases with good amounts of loot in their collectors. I would next a reasonable number of times and then take a raid with some good loot in the collectors. Now I next probably less than before because nexting is pointless. I almost never find bases with good loot so I accept the first base with terrible loot that I can easily beat for the loot bonus.Quote:

The sad fact is, these are better raids than average because I have been forcing myself to next for a while until I find a base with some decent dark elixir. That is the only reason 3 of the 5 raids have more than 200 DE. The gold and elixir amount are completely normal for me. There is no excitement at all in raiding such a base. The crystal 2 league bonus pays for my army and ensures that my loot total keeps going up, but there is no fun in it. There is also no fun in doing a single raid and then logging out for an hour for a bigger army to build (especially because it means I will be attacked in the meantime which is too big of a gamble even with my TH out and unprotected).
We can adapt to no longer having fun, but it doesn't mean we won't long for the time when the game was really enjoyable. These games are designed to be addictive and many of us are addicted to making progress (myself included). Ideally it would also be enjoyable. It really isn't anymore. The "then quit" response that will inevitably follow from posters on this forum obviously comes from people that don't grasp the concept of video game addiction (and these unhelpful posters seem to be all to common). I am not asking to get over my addiction. I am asking for them to make it fun again.

I stopped farming for a while. I most cook big armies and hit hard. Works for me but I also have all upgrades completed outside of heros and walls.
I feel the game isn't really balanced at the top end right now. In order to raid advanced Th10 bases you need high level heros. This is a process that takes months and some serious grinding of DE.
But those heavy hitting armies are also DE heavy.
Quad Lava Loonion, lava hounds are pricy. GoWiXXX - again golems are pricy.
Despite the 7th level giants still aren't really Th10 material. Its a great addition, don't get me wrong. But with healer's being more or less useless and heal spells being canceled out giants just don't compare to golems. Especially if your hitting bases with high level heros.
I think we need more options to hit big bases. Right now barching or looning for 50% is the th10 way to make a profit. It works, heck if can be very profitable but its also as boring as spit. You don't make huge pulls of loot and they get to be pretty repetitive.
I've been GoViz'ing bases for huge loot pots. Valkyrie shred storage bases no sweat. Requires a good deal of nexting to make a full out attack worth the trouble but at least I get to sow epic carnage.
Did YOU take all of my collector raids through 12 and 13 then? Cos i sure dont remember too many.
Your views on loot amount and train time have changed as well. Due to months/years of playing.
Getting 3 mil in few hours (still completely possible) was a huge achievement for late th8s and early th9s. It would pay your most expensive upgrade. Now, its more, meh: if i do that all again next session, and don't get robbed hard inbetween, i might get a wiz tower.
So, youre just saying you miss abundant collector raids. That was where all the fun of the game was, the biggest easiest score.
If those are the only bases you want, then how does a raid become a great one? Big collectors SHOULD be icing on cake.
We would all like more, but thats not really playing the game is it?

If you saw the South Park on freemium, they quite rightly said, a freemium should be ALMOST fun. So you can pay to make it more fun. Boost your spells and heroes. 4x as fun as before. Enables you to hit and earn big loot from big bases. Even more fun. Or dont.

I guess that if people could choose which level of each troop one wants to train, then there wouldn't be the complaints of too costly armies? Don't know why that would even be hard to put into the game, I meen if one regrets an upgrade of a troop due to lack of elixir fund to cover troop costs then it shouldn't have to result in complaints about too high costs vs loot but result in SC letting us choose which level of the troop we want to cook:)

And thieves tend to be the best at protecting their valuables because they know what to look for. We don't want a game full of thieves. We want a game with a small percentage of thieves and a large percentage of people to rob. That means we need ways to get lots of loot without raiding storages so that storage raiders can steal it.

It's been a year since the game became unplayable according to you guys. There is no significant enough outcry for SuperCell to reconsider. - Infernos on single even though sometimes I go for it if they're on multi and the loot is worth it. I have noticed allot of people setting up storages so they are covered by infernos or x bows. At that point I look at the base and see if they have other storages not covered which they usually do... on opposite corners.
- I also look for bases with storages only 2 layers in.
- I avoid bases with too many gaps in it due to the amount of traps but mainly because of how slow the loons move they would not do too much damage to any defenses deep into the base since I'm not raging them.
How I deploy troops
- I do the strategic deployments you talked about but only on bases the I know I can do it with and get most of the loot. (if I'm lucky enough to find a collector raid or storage in the first layer(pushing base))
- I mainly deploy loons in a line with half my minions behind them once the first set of outside structures have been destroyed or close too I deploy the rest of the minions. By this point most air traps have been set off by loons. (things to take into consideration when deploying minions: if cc or heroes are activated as minions will bypass buildings and start attacking CC and heroes...if that happens release the rest of the minions to speed up to process, I have not had any issues getting a 1 or 2 stars doing this strategy. One thing that does mess it up is the X-Bow glitch)
- For bases like i stated above the I only find have 2 corners not covered too well by infernos or x-bows I release half my loons on each corner and half my minions directly behind them. As we looners know the loons will absorb the damage and minions will help speed up the destruction of all buildings and defenses(these are harder to win and I only do if taking half the loot is worth the loss to me)
When I use CC and heroes
- I don't ever use my CC when Im farming I don't care if I lose a raid every so often, that will be up to you to decide. But I normally try to stay around the trophy range where I am finding good loot so i might lose a few raids on purpose or just drop and go with heroes to get back within that range.
- I use heroes if I want to get some extra loot or a few more percentages to get a win and loot bonus but rarely necessary once you get this strategy down. I leave my TH outside and most people i have been attacked by don't have the army to take on a almost maxed base. They take out my TH and get the loot bonus and give me a free shield. I mainly use CC to protect my storages since I have it centered surrounded by infernos and x-bow with the queen on the fourth side since there is not a fourth x-bow.
If anyone wants to practice this start in crystal 2 or 3 or wherever you are if its gold...but just practice and get used to not using spells. It took me about 4 days to get a technique down that would work.
I was using this technique during our last clan push during the christmas break and got to master 2 before I needed to start using spells but that was because I was also going for loot. Once i stopped going for loot and just the one star I was able to do it without spells by looking for bases I could do the strategic deployment....again hardly used CC and relied on heroes to get that extra percent or two. I was also aware of where the CC was in order to not deploy troops to that side until I had most of the percentage I need it...I would deploy there last or if the CC got activated in the process of the attack...you can tell if you will get what you need to win by looking at your damage done and how many troops you have left. If I saw I was not going to get enough I would also put heroes down while CC what distracted by loons and minions.
I believe once i go to Masters 1 or champions league I changed my troop set up too 20 loons and 70 minions using the strategic deployment method and heroes to get a one start win CC was last resort but still used since it was a push.

Im sorry if it seems like I am all over the place, i just did this real fast. Ill sit down and make it more concise if I see a lot of people are not understanding what I'm saying...I pretty much just wrote down my thought process before deciding what bases to attack and how I deploy my troops...there is allot more I can write as far as troop deployment goes depending on scenarios, but you will learn that with experience and if you've been looning for a while then you already have an idea of those scenarios, now just need to adjust them to this army size.

Loot at TH10 is total ♥♥♥♥. Only reason I'm still playing is because of my clan mates and wars. Looting use to be my favorite thing to do, now it's just a next fest.
Im th10 and farm in masters 3, get a th snipe for loot bonus here and there, lots of dead bases you just need to be more patient on your searching really, If you have to spend 100k looking for loot i generally log off and go do something else
I next around in Gold 1,2,3 atm, spend 1000 gold a click and find on average 25 k of each. Got the advice to barch above 2500 but as a new th10 I want be able to defend my loot there when ITs and Xbows are upgrading. And only going for league bonus doesn't feel good, I want 200/200 within 25 nexts and real attacks, not 200 nexts and still only find 25 k.
Wars are still fun though because I have great clan mates.

I know I personally would be very grateful for an as-indepth-as-possible guide just judging by this quick rundown, you think about things kind of like I do. As a semi experienced loonioner I totally understand the points you've said, and with 2 lavahounds I just can't use as many minions to do the swarm as effectively but this is the tactic I was going to try, its similar to how im using lavahounds to great effect and i'd say bases in M3 would be much more susceptible to this. Up in M2 right now and spells are needed and i'm practicing with hounds for war since my golems are just now going to level 2. My prior thoughts were people were using 16-20 loons to surgical loon bases to get to the DE storage and that just didn't make sense to me. Taking anywhere from 2-5 loons per group of defenses you'd run out way too fast. I guess i'll just play around with it and go from there.Quote:

loot isn't that horrible at TH10...as others have said countless times, u cant expect to stay in leagues u were farming at with TH8 and TH9 with ur new TH10 and expect to get the same results due to the loot penalty system (which btw makes complete sense)
ideal league range from my experience to farm with a TH10 is anywhere between C2 and M3...anything lower requires too many nexting..anything more requires heavier armies to get to storages effectively.
I'm a TH10 farming with barch and have gotten by just fine and managed to farm my both heroes to lvl 40 and already completed 156 zaps...all defenses completed and all research except for gobs, giants lvl 7 and lava hounds
A a town hall 10 I am literally finding 1 million loot raids every time I raid for an hour session. You are in the wrong league.

would you honestly enjoy playing this game for years if everything was so easy? cheap walls, cheap troop research costs, tons of loot and inactive bases, cheaper defense upgrades, etc etc...if that was the case then when you maxed your base in jus under a year then what would you have left that keeps you coming back to the game?
