Improving Mass Dragon Attack: Feedback Requested

I'm creating a thread to document my crappy dragon attacks. I take this game seriously and I want to learn how to be better. I would love constructive criticism, and you too can post your videos that you want critiqued.

Here are my 2 crappy attacks of the day:

I tried to use the BK last minute to cut off the drags and force them back up. I think if I had another drag left at that point it could've taken down the AD. But still. This base should've been 3-starrable.

2) Pretty horrible here. I think attacking 4:00 would've been a better option? Or 2:00?

cause some bases are just not meant for air troops

I am only a month into TH8, so I have not unlocked GoWiPe yet, nor am I Pekka capable. I don't think either base is particularly anti-dragon, and should be 3 starrable with the right skillset. I'm just looking to improve my gameplay with dragons.

Mass dragons seem so noobish.

how are is it to let the troops do all of the work for you?

You can read the guide in my signature. I made it for my clan mates having the same issue.

Try using 4 level 5 loons + cc loons, on second attack, would have made more sense to drop loons on 4:00 cannon so that theyd move directly toward ad. Your spell placement is a bit off too, spells should be placed so that theyre barely inside it, and will be inside it longer, instead of centered on them. Check out jtjuniversity on youtube for some pretty good videos on th8 dragon attacks.

I think he has 3 mass dragon variations, and depends on the base


Personally, I stopped using Dragons when I got Golems, but after seeing Wryhorn's Vids, I kinda came back

I agree with the guys here bro. Try and vary your attack based on base layout:

Here are some variations to help you :)

TH8 Ballonion, Dragon, Hogs

On the first attack: 9 dragons, 1 giant, 5 barbs, 2 balloons. 3 lightning spells. You should have lured the cc out with a giant, then steered them over to the far left AD with barbs. Then, 3 lighting spells to take out the AD and the cc. Do this quickly or you will run out of time. Then barb king down one side, dragon on the other to take out side buildings. Then line of all dragons just like you did but don't waste time, throw them all out there. As soon as the AD have targeted a dragon, deploy your cc with balloons. That would have turned out better for you. Basically the same strategy for the 2nd attack except take out the top AD.

I attack with drags all the time and I always 3 star. When scouting a base, if the AD's are bunched together in the middle, 2 rage and 1 heal. If one AD is a little spread out, lightning spells. Another thing to look at is whether he has high hit point structures guarding his AD's. If he does, consider using 8 level 5 balloons to take out those AD's. Good luck! Always remember to learn from your failures, don't get upset! Every th8 can be 3 starred with dragons. If they are level 6 AD's that are well guarded, you MUST incorporate balloons into your army.
