Some items seem to carry different names. That's confusing. It gets strenghtened by the fact that many of us have a mother tongue other than English. So what about a glossary in the FAQ section? Or have I missed it somewhere?

This is something i would like to have, too. Its great to play a game in my native language, but the risk of confusion when dealing with players in English is huge. Especially if both speak equally bad English. :) If I could just go find the right words in stead of guessing, it would be a lot easier.
Obviously Supercell already have the information :) and I'm sure it would be of good use to many.
Not sure of what you need help with. I know there are many acronyms /abbreviations many people use, like BEM for barn expansion material. If that's what you need, a search for acronym should bring up your information. Is it forum or game related.? Are you in need of translation of some words into your native language? That would require someone who speaks more than one language fluently , and that's not me. A glossary typically is a list of specific words that are specific to something and what they mean. I am not sure what you are really looking for so I am not sure where to send you or how to help.
If you can give more specifics with some examples maybe we can get you what you need. Thanks
Edit. I just thought of something and this might not be what you mean but here goes. In the states we refer to a woolen jacket or shirt as a sweater. I think in England, they call it a jumper. Is this what you mean?
The main ones I can think of are:
Markers/Stakes
Deeds/Land Deeds/Certificates
And some people mix up planks and panels so that can get confusing.
There is also Gift Cards vs Vouchers, which some people occasionally mix up.
The abbreviations might be confusing for some people.
LEM - Land Expansion Material
BEM - Barn Expansion Material
SEM - Silo Expansion material
RSS - Roadside Shop
BRT - Big Red Tractor
DD - Newspaper (Daily Dirt)
If the problem is a language barrier, you could try to describe the item when translations are difficult. For instance panels (double wooden board used for silo) versus plank (single wooden board). My native language is Dutch but Im confident enough with English so I play all my games etc in English even if there is a Dutch version available. This is mainly because when you try to look for help or whatever most sources of info are in English.
Maybe what we need it a picture book. Unfortunately my graphics program is windows only and I refuse to buy another windows computer. I'm also too old to learn another one. So anyone good with graphics want to put together some pictures with the English names for our friends who would like to know what these things are called?
If you touch an item, like a plank in your barn for instance, it tells you what it's called. Although I guess if you're playing in a different language that perhaps doesn't help...
Thanks for replying!
The abbreviations used in the forum are no problem, they are explained often and well. The problem is the names of products in the game itself. All things are not perfectly translated by the book.
One of my issues is the fishing. All fishes has different names in different languages, naturally. For me to find help in the fishing thread, i have to find out the English names for all fishes. Fortunately, someone posted screenshots of their English fishing book a while back in another thread and I can cross-reference the names from that post. But the new fishes are not in it, so I have no clue of their names.
Also: After a while one gets a bit fed up with writing things like "the stick you use for land expansion" or "the square potato pie" in chat. :)
Another example: It took me several days to find out that shepherds pie is the same thing as the "meat pie" i have (köttpaj). And I have no clue if the feta cheese pie is indeed called that in English, or if it's named something entirely different.
The picture book in English suggested above would be of great help, but it would have to contain pictures and names of all products and fish to be of help for people in all levels.
If you can play the game without reading, change your game language to English. By touching the item (in your barn/silo), you can see the english name.
