Lavaloonion as a TH9 after update

@gamer88: Your attacks are very similar to what I have done and inquired in this thread, and I also believe the composition of CC troops is a big influence to this strategy's success rate.

I'll be following this thread to see what I was missing. So far I'm seeing some great discussion, thanks for everyone that contributed.

And yeah, will definately research this attack strategy some more and update!

Ok guys I just gave this a 2nd try to see if I was just lucky and it was as easy as ever to get the 3 star. Before you complain about the base strength hear me out. I farm gold 2 so this took a while to find, the queen is lvl 12 which is decent, the ADs were maxed, and the cc had 5 wizards and some archers in it. Even though 1 AD was upgrading I could have 3 starred it if it was there and it actually would have been easier to 3 star it because it would have gave me those pups. As you can see my 4th lava hound was full hp so it easily could have tanked another maxed AD. Also this was planned in just over 30 seconds so it's for sure a mindless strategy ;)

Im not sure about it..another maxed AD is big power..teslas and arch towers arent maxed and one xbow is on ground. It seems like the troops u had left arent enough for the cleanup..where is the 3 stars pic? :)
We will have to try few more attacks i guess..

With 4 hounds, would it work to aim a hound at each ad with a line of loons behind each hound?

I have seen 3 groups of loons on 3 sides. I don't think there is enough firepower to divide the loons into 4 groups.

I was a bit concerned about time in that one but I ended up having plenty left. There might not have been enough if both my heroes were upgrading instead of 1. I am very confident that another AD would have made 0 difference and it actually would have helped because it would have popped the hound. In that attack the loons did not help with killing any cc troops so the lava pups were more than capable of getting it done with minimal loon loss. I am using the technique those th10s used of dropping a center group (pinch in) then 2 hounds then with about 16 remaining loons dropping side loons (drag out) then dropping the other 2 hounds (or all 4 hounds with the first 2 but the cc one is hard to drop). I will keep trying but I am very confident now. The only thing that scares me is a dragon in the cc. Also my second 2 spells were very bad and cost a lot of loons so this was definitely not a perfect execution.
