giant bomb cost/ towh hall level 9.

guys i was wondering that halloween part is over except the main part of our village the townhall..it still is like halloween.,shudnt it b like a castle instead??like the other level halls??did they willingly left it or forgot.but it definitely looks odd compared to al the things in village
also i request the developer if they can lessen the cost of giant bombs...guys frankly we think loot of anything around 100k is very good but imagine u lost 100k resources and also 150k if 3 giant bombs are gone so overall u end up loosing 250k,,,, wow thats a huge amount...so i thnk 10k or max 20k is exactly the amount it shud be not more than that...thanks cheers and have fun playing

dont use the big bomb if the only thing you are protecting is resources, to some people the 150k gold spent on big bomb is worth using if you are trying to protect their trophy count

Well that's the whole idea behind it, big bomb do alot damage to enemy troops so is it worth protecting for example 800k gold and 830k elixir for 150k worth on big bomb? It's definitely worth the 150k! But my opinion? I use max 2 bombs.. if I want to protect 1,5 mil I use 3 bombs..

Use Giant Bomb, if you care about trophy.

If Low level TH, I won't bother with Giant Bomb because it costs too much, and your defense is likely to fail anyway.
But for TH 8 or 9, put them near Storage or critical point may worth it.

I do think they are quite expensive and maybe a slight drop to 40k would be good

apparently you don't understand how the looting system works. even if you have 800k gold and 830k elixir, the max anyone can get from storages is 180k gold and 180k elixir hence the person above is complaining about the cost of 3 giants bomb being 150k. noob

I wasn't talking about 1 attack wich uses all 3 bombs and you'll have a 150k costs fr00b! Not every attack is that good it will destroy your whole village! If you use 1 to 2 bomb(s) every attack and survive the attack(s) you'll have less costs and probably shield + less resources lost.

So when someone attacks and took 30k each resource because you used 1 bomb (50k means 20k resource "loss") will probably gain you a nice shield to win this "loss" back! So if you're looking NOT ON 1 BATTLE USING 3 BOMBS YOU SICK MAKING F*** you've alot more advantages from using big bombs because you can receive shield, protect resources and survive battles for trophies.

For example: I receive 1 attack and use 1 bomb and lose 40k resources gold + elixer and receive 12 hours shield and I've got 6 mines/pumps of level 9.

1 bomb = 50k
loss = 40k gold + 40k elixir
12 hours shield = 6 mines x 2500 = 15000 * 12= 180k GOLD
6 pumps x 2200 = 13200 * 12 = 158,4k ELIXIR

So you lost 40k each =
GOLD = 140k profit
ELIXIR = 118,4k profit

And you used 1 bomb! maby 2 is still 90k gold profit!

Sorry bro but you cannot ever "profit" off of a loss. A loss is a loss, there is no such thing as a profit when you lose.

You are calculating off of possible gain over 12 hours. Chances are, you will be attacked within an hour or two of logging off so you cannot assume that you would have lost all 12 hours worth of resources from the mine. OH and you are calculating off of 2,500 an hour... really, you have all your mines upgraded? What level are you to have all your mines upgraded having played only a month of this game, you obviously lack defense and is trying to make it up through big bomb purchases.

Just the same way you cannot assume all 3 big bombs will not be detonated. I can always make the case that the big bomb could be activated and detonated on only 1 unit (ie. goblin or wb than runs ahead of the pack), that would null your shield argument.

I appreciate your explanation ^_^ Concern my lack of defence and my mines/pumps? Well all my mines/pumps are level 9 even 2 mines are lvl 10, got all archers towers lvl 7 and cannons level 8, wizard towers both lvl 2 and I got 1 tesla. So concern that, you shouldn't underestimate players based on their start date!

And your explanation is pretty good, loss is a loss unless you receive Shield that's my opinion ;)

mitchluiks...i tell u that its not about keeping 2 bombs for saving 800k or 3 bombs for 1million.. over all even if u have 6 million elixir and 6 million gold u r bound to loose 180k...the max amount so no question of keeping some number of bombs...
let me tel u according to u...suppose i have 1 million in store max loot is 180k..and according to u say if i keep 3 bombs to protect and they are strong enought to kill all the troops too then wat i lost is still heavy 150k...
and according to ur gold mines 12 hour hypothesis im glad u got all good mine levels... but u r a very few in hundreds and thousands of people who have well developed mines..mine are averagely built, and i think mostly have like wat i do.,also if u get a shield u r bound to get when u loose for sure u will have 12 hours for production.,so wat do i gain??i still come back to where i was 12 hrs before.,again the cycle repeats??

The "getting a shield and get rescourses from mines/pumps" aregument is a non-argument. Since wether u use a giant bomb or not, u will most probably get a shield anyways. The person who not places giants bombs is even more likely to recieve a shield (attack has more chance to be succesfull). and both can use the shielded time to make up for the ammount lost during the attack.

Now maybe instead of losing 180k of both, u lose only 90k gold and 90k elix during the attack. Also u spend 100k on the 2 gaint bombs = 190k gold loss. 90k elixer loss = 280k total rescourses lost.

Instead of using bombs (small area) to protect rescourses (all rescourses middle, third layer). Id rather use a spreading tactic (put rescourses in second layer as far from ea other appart as possible with defensive buildings inbetween and seperated by walls. Now it will be verry hard to get all rescourses, since he would have to breach through your walls and defenses at three places. (only possible with verry expensive army).

Now u would use NO giants bombs. In this case maybe instead of losing 180k of both, u lose only 3-4 out of 6 storages. This comes down to 180-240k total rescourses lost.

No matter your choice, in both cases u can use your shielded time to generate rescourses to make up for the loss.
Often i see TH lvl 8 with 2-3 giant bombs. If placed outside of walls, they get detonated by my giants (wich i spread over the whole wall. so 1 giants gets a bit damage). If on the inside, my giants walk inside and clear the place before rangers/barbs go in.

by using a good strategy + units with diffrent targets and speeds, the ammount of damage to your army is reduced alot (by giants and normal bombs). Especially if u realease them with enough speed to keep the DPS/pressure high, but not too fast that you all your troops get clustered to much and are easy hits for bombs/mortars/wiz towers.

My general conlcusion when playing for rescoures and upgrades = giants bombs are a waste.
My general conclusion when playing for cups = giants bombs can add a small benefit against some units (only vs arch, barb, gobs. almost useless vs all other units). can help defend vs low budget armys.

i agree...big bombs are not worth it, and now I'm not bothered about trophies, I dont use them.

The only time I can see me using them, until I'm bothered by trophies again, is if I have extra cash, and dont want it stolen.
My mentality is strange in that I'd rather spend 50k, than lose 15k from it being sat there un-spent if I got attacked.

I look at it this way - if I really want to protect my storages, yes - if the steal 30k and use a bomb, I lose 80. But, if I didn't use the bomb to take out the 50 goblins, they could have stole 100k. If you look at it that way, the bomb saved you 20k 8-)

And 180k is cap on storages. You still have the 1k in the TH, and 50% of uncollected mines (which could be up to 450k) 631k should be theoretical max - although I haven't found many players with 6 lvl 11 mines/pumps sitting uncollected, but once time I caught a guy coming off long shield and scored 500k of each.
