New way to get gems

As you know, there are only currently 3 ways to earn gems in Clash of Clans. ( Earning acheivements, destroying obstacles, and buying them.) I'm proposing that Clash of Clans creates a new way to earn gems. Something that benefits developers and us players would be optimal. Developers could give other apps/products the ability to advertise their app/product. Advertisers would pay developers for this opportunity and would offer a certain number of gems to watch a video or download an app. A company named 'Tapjoy' currently has a system like this. There is lots of opportunity for developers and a positive change would be seen in the players.

Ads suck. I much rather clash remain ad free.

Sc making people wacth videos just to earn gems would make them lose profit. The ways you can get gems now are better.

I didn't mean ads were to be seen everywhere in the game. In the store, under the resource category, there could be a free gem selection that could take you to a list of advertisements.

They wouldn't lose profit if the advertisers payed the developers to advertise their product or app.

I know what you meant. Now suddenly the game shifts from doing things to make the players happy to doing things that make the advertisers happy. Instead of being SC's customer I become their product. No thank you.

They aren't giving away free stuff, they're getting paid to advertise apps and to attract us to the advertisement page, they offer us gems.

It makes the players happy by giving them free gems. The developers are making more money, advertisers get downloads, and players get gems.

Dahimi has a point. When a company starts selling advetisements, we as players technically become the product. I dont want to be a product. I know Tapjoy from my Mafia War days. Ya know how much i spent on that game? None, thanks to Tapjoy. Supercell makes plenty of money under their current system why mess with that?
