Did anyone notice when thy added the ability to upgrade lev 6+ with elixir that people flipped and said reverse it (September I believe it was). And now that they increased the level that you have to have to upgrade walls with elixir (level 9+) people started flipping out saying to reverse the thing that they said to reverse in the first place.

And just to add my 2 cents, I believe that all walls are easy to upgrade (up to level 10 and then it becomes more of a challenge). I believe that Lix walls for 6+ wasn't the brightest idea, I plan on farmig the rest of my skulls soon. I have 35 skulls and the rest dark purple. Skulls are easy to do with gold and TH 8s shouldn't be completely devastated by this minor change.

The issue (at least for me, personally) isn't that skulls are hard, but that there's nothing to do with elixir. I've had over 5 mil for the last week, and that number won't be going down until my lvl 3 pekka upgrade (currently have giants, goblins, and one gold mine to upgrade before being done with all elixir upgrades). So once that's done, I'll have nothing to do with elixir, it'll be doomed to sit in my storages until TH 9 and it's shiny new toys come by (probably a couple more weeks).Quote:

I think even more people will have lvl 7 walls going into th9 now after this update. I won't judge them if they do, cause I can see the benefit of not sitting on elixir for a month. But no one is making you stay at th8 to max your walls, so please don't complain if you decide to do that.
You know all these folks will be back after the one gem boost ends to complain that they deserve/demand the one gem boost back right?

The recent update, while it still leaves elixir walls in the game, raising the minimum level at least reduces the strain on the economy.

I don't get these people who keeps complaining that their elixir storages are full and don't know what to do with them now elixir wall upgrade is gone. Good lord, just do whatever you do before the stupid September update.

This number is not a minor change in the game.
Also please note farming 128m gold is far more easier for TH10 than TH9 than TH8 because of army composition. (with max possible troops)
It is a challenge for TH8 player. Based on my calculation you should farm abut 2.5 Million gold per day to max TH8 with 4 builders in 100 days.
2.5 million gold per day is the net value without any next cost and losing in raids.
In compare you just need 600K elixir and 3K DE per day.

Yeah. I never farm for walls with sleep builders. I could finish my lvl7 walls before maxing TH7 but after entering TH8 I have a plan to just max offense and splash defenses and whatever walls I could dump my excess gold then I will go to TH9.

No, th9s and 10s cannot make the same amount of gold and elix as 8s. Th8s can steal almost as much per raid, with smaller camps, lower cook times, and lower fail chance.
Max walls and lose elix into the ether, or upgrade and dont. The fact that there was briefly an option 3, is now irrelevant.

So, if everyone looks at bigger picture, the only people that should be genuinely hating on the backward step should be th7s. Th6s couldnt dump elix into walls, so 7s supply wasnt hindered. All you th8s, at least you are ABLE to fill those elix stores again so that it can be wasted.
1.) The Problem about the elixir for walls is that it kills the economy. Between big updates the loot was still OK but I remember. Most of the Players that complain are th8 now and were th7 or lower 3 months ago and have not seen the Horror of a new update combined with elixir for walls. It is not the th9s that have Problems farming because they can raid stronger bases with less costs because of the queen and lvl6 giants. It is the new th8s that really suffer by the lack of elixir and are not able to farm their lvl5 troops. Farming troops and still doing clan wars (with Dragons of course) seems to be impossible for many Players.
2.) Too many Players think they have to max walls at th8. Walls are optional if you have enough Gold, but you should never let your builder be idle only because of walls. It is important to have at least pink walls. Everything more is nice, but not a requirement for th8s.
