What should my role as Co Leader be?

Me and several of my friends have a clan (Orange Peanut #PLYLCUUY). I've been a Co Leader for quite some time now but I was wondering what my role should really be. I already know all that I'm capable of doing as a Co Leader but what are some extra things I could do to improve and help my clan?

But to be serious though, enforce the clan chat, donate, and recruit people if they reach your clan's requirement. Blah blah blah I've been clanless for 6 months so take my word on it. :rolleyes:

Be a leader and leade the clan. ive been a leader in my clan several months now, and in my clan for almost a year. manage the clan, keep things running, promote rules, and help out as much as possible

Enforce the clan's rules, help the leader recruit if needed, help the lowbie clanmates via giving them advice if ever, etc.

It depends on the type of clan which you are in.
In my opinion, for a warring clan, there should be rules like:
- Minimum wall level for a certain TH level, and no premmies
- To use both war attacks

For social clans:
- must be active in chat, ofc!

For farming clans:
- Minimum attacks won per season you be set. If anyone fails to comply, boot!

Again, these are just my opinion.

I'm a co, and the main things I end up doing (some of which may be discussed above, and will differ between clans)

-Manage recruitment -- making sure those that want to join have adequate bases, invite people on global, etc.
-Kicking (occasionally) -- mainly just when someone misses war attacks or breaks clan rules
-Chat Moderation -- making sure people get along, make sure everyone follows the rules for clan chat (for example, in my clan there's no swearing, so making sure people aren't doing that is part of my job)
-Help other members --this'll depend on your personal progress in the game, but if you're further along in the game helping members out, particularly in war, attack strategies, and base design, seems to be helpful
-Clan messages -- whether it's encouragement in war or a merry christmas announcement, communication
-Chatting -- just being on chat and talking to people, encouraging members to communicate and discuss to really bond as a clan

Just being a role model clan member - By this I mean donating, attacking well in wars, things that you want too see in your members. I've seen that the better cos and the leader of a clan are, the better the members are (in general).

Something to be careful of is to not make exceptions for (a) member(s). A co of one of my old clans was a good friend of an elder who was honestly a terrible member. That co happened to be a friend to the leader. 0 donated, 1000 received was a regular thing for said elder, rarely attacked in wars (yet had time to show off gowipe and balloonion raids made at the same time), created drama (intentionally), basically everything a member shouldn't do. Every time that elder was kicked, the co would reinvite him and the leader wouldn't demote the co as they were all friends. Eventually that clan disbanded, every other elder, most of the members, and the other cos and I split off and made a new clan. Don't have that happen in your clan.

True, true. Having someone to be an 'exception-to-the-rule' will discourage members to stay in the clan.

In clan as a co leader, being an active donator and chatter is great for the clan atmosphere. Additionally, sending energetic and positive clan messages whenever you can is a good way to keep your clanmates positive about the clan and confident in clan leadership.

It depends on what your goal is as a clan.

For my clan my CO's are mature members that help keep the peace and mentor lower level players. They are always trying to help bring all of our members up by donating troops for their attack, offering advice, etc.

To simply put it, leadership roles in my clan are service roles. We look for opportunities to help us grow as players, as a clan, and foster a fun friendly mature environment.

Of course while this works for us it might not work for you or other clans. I think you first need to figure out what it is that you want to accomplish with your clan. What is your goal? Once you figure that out set your leadership to tasks that will help you achieve that goal.
