If you're going to make a special defensive building just for defending against one spell, you might as well go ahead and make defensive buildings to defend against every other spell as well:

lightning rod (metal spike on top) = cancels out lightning spell
poison rod (syringe on top) = cancels out heal spell
happy rod (trollface on top) = cancels out rage spell
gravity rod (apple on top) = cancels out jump spell
hot rod (1966 Mustang on top) = cancels out freeze spell
