Idea for a new cw feature

There have been many different suggestions in the past concerning clan wars and how they could be modified.
My apologies if my idea was already mentioned and/or ruled out in the past.
Clan War Option: "Surrender"
Tonight, I had the (to me rather interesting) vision of having a surrender button in clan wars.
This idea was due to the fact that sometimes, for whatever reasons, the clan sees a war as lost and would like to give up.
A "surrender"-button should of course not be usable to skip clans until you (as leader or co) find one that you assess as easy to beat. That would totally defeat its purpose.
There are numerous possibilities how this button could work. Here is my personal favourite;
- "Surrender" only usable by the Leader (or alternatively also by cos as they can also start a war.)
- When the leader/co hits the button, war for the clan surrendering is ended immediately. This should not end the war for the opponent clan, as they may want to keep going and pick up the spoils of war. Problem: Surrendering can be abused by having the whole clan th-snipe, surrender after the first hour of battle and collect the spoils you get by loosing. Possible sollutions: 1. A percentage of the spoils is lost by surrendering to the opponent ("Reparations") 2, Clan can't go to war for some time. eg: 10% of the remaining time => 10 hours left = 1 hour wait before being able to begin a new war; 1 hour = 6 Minutes and so on. ("Rearmament")
- Once the opponent clan has surrendered, a button appeares, reading something like: "Accept (unconditional) surrender" (Thus they know the opponent has surrendered.) By pushing this button, the leader or co claims victory for the clan and ends war for his/her clan. Alternatively, the leader/co might decide to continue warfare and give the members the possibility to collect more loot by using the rest of their attacks.
- Second Version: Clan A >>offers<< a surrender, meaning it has to wait until Clan B has accepted or denied. Warfare continues as normal. If Clan B accepts the surrender, war ends for both sides, Clan B being the winner. How to prevent (in this example) Clan B from abusing the function by accepting Clan A's surrender after the tide has turned against Clan B?! Clan A can always withdraw their offer of surrender if Clan B hasn't accepted or rejected yet. As there may be clans with only very few co's it may make sense to have Clan A's offer of surrender withdrawn automatically once they have more stars than Clan B.
Having said all that, i personally prefer the second version as this seems to me as being more realistic and less likely to be abusable.
[An aditional feature one could add is the possibility of writing a short message to the other clan when surrendering.]
