TH rushers are struggling!!!

All of us, all the regretful townhall rushers. I myself have rushed to th10 and am suffering from loot penalty. My troops just don't match up to size with my opponents. I can't raid hardly any loot, and have given up on the matter. I now just rely on the loot from my collectors, and have been grinding for almost 1 whole year. I go on everyday, only to tap the screen about 10 times and then log off. I wish there was some way to be relieved of that burden. I dream of a day where I can have fun on Clash of Clans and raid like I used to. I've spent over $150 on this game and have not given up on it yet, but am nearing that decision, and many others also are. I hope that if any staff reads this, they will take it to heart. I strongly believe it is something many devoted consumers would wish to be different. It would be a great burden relieved from many players and give new life to the game if the loot penalty system would be changed, such as the penalty system reducing loot not based on townhall, but instead the level of your troops versus the townhall. Higher level troops should penalize the loot received on lower townhall's, and vise versa. If this system could not work, then players who are experiencing this should be relieved of the loot penalty somehow. If I could attack bases appropriate to my troop level, I would be able to eventually catch back up and obtain troops suitable for attacking th10''s. I'm positive that if the system I proposed or another takes place, Supercell would receive nothing but positive feedback and it would bring new life to the game. I am not alone and am speaking for all the players in the same desperate situation as me. If any Supercell staff is reading this, please bring up this issue; It is, I feel, the only thing holding back the game from being perfect. You have two choices: 1) Reset your device so you can start a new village. 2) Gem your troops to TH10 levels.

You rushed on your own free will.

What exactly do you expect Supercell to do?

Your best bet is to rush your offensive capabilities so you can at least raid your way back into the game. Max your Camps, Spell Factory, and farming troops such as Barch.

Ight ima head to th10 buy infernos so on can touch my loot. Thrn because i still have th9 lvl troop Ima barch inactive th8s and th8 storages but my infernos keep anyone from touching my storages. This is how your idea could be exploited

1.) Loot Penalty is there for a reason. It is important that the big Player can not start attacking low Level Players. Even th6s have enough loot to pay a full barch army without loot Penalty and with big heroes smashing them it would be very unfair. You develop a unit like the archers lvl6. Those Units get much more expensive and in Addition to that you should receive an increased loot Penalty as well? I dont think this is a good idea. Everybody would stop developing Units he does not Need for farming to get lower loot Penalty.

2.) The main Problem about th10 loot is the shield system. At the Moment there are more attackers than bases that can be attacked. The good bases get a shield, while the worst bases that nobody wants stay in the Queue. With increased trophy Count Players get more active and the Problem gets worse. Above 2000 trophies there is the place where loot disappears. For TH8s and 9s this is not such a big Problem except for updates or 1 gem barracks boost like now, because they find enough Targets below or at 2000. TH10 have to go further up to avoid the th8s, but up there everybody is shielded and you will not find loot any more. It is not the loot Penalty that is the Problem, but the shield System. There are also lots of rushed th9 bases with 200K each on average, but all of them are shielded.

3.) Supercell has done many things to improve situations for th10s:
.) New mine/collector Level improve ressource Generation to a Level where you get enough ressources to develop the most important troops and do some def Upgrades.
.) lvl7 giants give you the strength to raid th9 bases that have some loot
.) Elixir for walls removed until lvl9. This should increase elixir loot and will make it easier for you to pay your troops.
.) Infernos shoot longer. This makes defending easier.

4.) At th10 you will have to stop barching inactives and learn to use giant/archer combo with your heroes. If you have lvl6 giants and lvl5 archers + archer queen, it should get easier for you to farm.
Try going around 2050-2100 trophies. There is still some loot there, you get the 35K league Bonus, but the th8s start do disappear. Even with a rushed base defending should not be so hard if you get 2 Infernos and set them to Multi.

No sympathy... you got what you deserved for rushing. Create a new account and start over. Loot system is designed fine, so that you can't take advantage (to much) over opponents that are significantly weaker.

If you do what I tell you to do, you will struggle for quite a few days, but will end up like your good ol' times. I'm pretty sure many others would agree with me.

Use a strategy called barch: 2 barracks archers, 2 barracks barbs. Level 9 barracks minimum.

Basically, use this strategy to get loot from collectors. Make sure you max out your barbarians and archers for your lab level. Don't worry about anything else. When you max out those troops for your lab level, upgrade the lab and upgrade the barbs and archers. Keep doing this until you have lvl 7 barbs and archers at lvl 8 lab. Try to increase your trophies while you're at it. A good stopping point would be around Gold 1/Crystal 3 I'd say (ask TH10s on this, I'm only 9). After this, you should be fine. Upgrade your other troops and get them stronger and you should be good to go. Also, try to get all your army camps to lvl 8 ASAP.

No one forced you to rush your townhall, max troops at every townhall level and then move up.......

You chose this for yourself, there was plenty of information about coc that tells you to NOT rush.

Bit of a waste to just collect resources for a year.

Would have been far better off just starting again. Depending on how bad your base is, it may still be worth it.

If you think the quality of your troops is holding you back. Work out your fav army combo and gem those troops to max, then get raiding.

I tend to find premature TH's show a players lack of patience anyway. But if you do have some patience then you should be able to get it to an acceptable level again.

This game definitely rewards players that are patient and don't rush.

Seems one part of the problem is you having a year doing nothing but collecting from minse and collectors. See, if you actually raid left and right, you'll find your own sweet spots to raid, get more experience to raid efficiently and should probably recover your base to proper condition within a year. I know this for once my base a rushed too and I've seen many players with rushed bases come out top with proper effort and support.

BWAAHAAHAAHAA! Supercell should reward the players who make poor decisions? Penalize the players who research troop upgrades, and reward the players who rush their THs? You are in denial about the root cause of your problem.

1.) In this game it it bad, if you rush the TH. In boom beach it seems to be bad to max your base. How should anybody. Yes there is a warning on the th, but this warning is the same for all town halls, but except for th8 there is nothing really wrong in rushing as Long as you have the skill to farm the Upgrades for your troops. It is only th10 where even with max troops it is really hard to get loot because the loot system is broken.
Loot at th9 was very much better for me than at th8. While at th8 I was constantly farming only elixir to pay my troops, I care more for gold even with the reduced elixir the last few months because of the wall Change, so why should someone expect a loot drop?

2.) 99% of all th10 bases are rushed, so it is not a stupid action of a few players, but a stupid action of the majority.

Completely irrelevant to my post. There is no basis to saying that 99% of TH10s are rushed. As for your comment, who cares if there are a few rushed TH10s in bronze-gold? What has that got to do with the majority of TH10s in higher leagues?

1.) Saying most th10s are not rushed because you dont see rushed th10 in masters is like saying 99% of the players are th10 because you see less than 1% of non th10 bases in champion. Also keep in mind that a rushed th10 would be attacked by the first player and the chance of meeting him is very low. The same way most players put their th outside in gold but if you next through them nearly all of them have it inside.

2.) Yes you were warned the same way you were warned the last 9 ths and every th loot got better not worse. Why should anyone know that this time loot really sucks forever because it is bad even with all troops and heroes. You can be a maxed th9 and move to th10 and loot is still bad. This system is simply broken. In every other game you get the best loot at the best th level.

3.) If you want so see the average th10 go to a clan with mixed th9s and 10 and take a look at the enemie you get. More than 50% of our enemy th10 do not even have infernos. Most of them are lvl80 to 100. Only very few have all defenses at th9 level.

4.) There are far more players in gold then players in master or champion. My country has 8 million people. I think about 500K have coc installed but there are only 144 in champion. The number 200 has about 3130 trophies.

To the OP, focus all your attention on getting your barbarians and archers to the max level. This means save up all your elixir and spend it on nothing but lab upgrades, barbarian upgrades in the lab, archer upgrades in the lab, and army camp upgrades. While doing this spend every piece of gold you have and every bit of dark elixir you can. Your goal is to have a base that has some available elixir (because you are trying to save it up) and absolutely no gold or dark elixir so that when people see your base they will not even bother to raid it because it is completely missing two of the resources. Also keep your town hall out so people can snipe it. If there is only one resource with any decent amount (elixir) and your town hall is untrapped and easily sniped you will find yourself getting raided pretty much never. Whenever you get enough elixir to do one of the important upgrades mentioned above you will immediately spend it. Following this method it should not be too long until you have at least level 6 barch with 220 army camp space and can start doing raids for loot. Feel free to keep following this method until you get level 7 barch and 240 army camp space if you don't want to raid with level 6 barch.

It is unfortunate.

I can understand how some think getting your hall up quickly will help, but doing it too soon creates only disadvantage if you do it too soon.

I assume you have Infernos, have them on Disco mode keeps many farmers at bay.

Now there are lv12 mines/collectors you can at least boost your daily income to catch up a little quicker.

Prioritise upgrades that help you attack, as that is where the loot comes from. Just do whatever defense you can inbetween that.

If you have lasted this long it will get better with some more patience.

yup, do this. ignore defense for a long while. If you do fin yourself with a lot of gold, use it on ITs. Offense is the only thing that can save you.

I agree. The Problem you have on a new th is always offense or skill and never defense. Of course it is harder saving up higher amounts of Gold if defense is weak but your defenses are also much cheaper. On the defense side a new th is alsways an Advantage. It is much easier defending 1.5 Million Gold for an archer Tower lvl9 on th10 than it is on th8.

To me what people are doing is like grabbing a sword and shield in Viking times and rushing into battle and then complaining they're not strong enough to fight and expecting someone else to fix the problem whilst all the time knowing they should have waited years and trained and built up strength before attempting something so massive.


Ok I've rushed reading all the replies to this thread so maybe it's already been said but it seems to me the problem is simple.

Youve rushed TH which any half experienced player knows is bad. We all want an xbow or inferno tower but have to wait or face the consequences and someone rushing ahead and complaining doesn't have much sympathy and that includes from me too. I play a game, if I like it I learn the ins and outs simple.

However, I know what it's like to rush ahead in something you don't know much about having the best of intentions and then landing yourself in trouble.

I would propose supercell offer TH rushers the one time option of reducing their TH by 2 or 3 levels and give them a 60% refund on the TH upgrade costs. Depending on building upgrades they could also offer a certain number of 'insta builds' (so losing an xbow could give them an instant build/upgrade on another building) or a gold/elixir refunds for buildings their th level no longer supports. Complicated I know so it depends on the number of ppl asking for this service but either way I can't see many other options that would be fair to us players who take the time to learn how the game works before rushing ahead.

Regardless I definitely don't agree with changing the game to allow people who rush TH levels a way out whilst keeping their TH level.

If you rushed to TH10 with no other upgrades along the way you most likely gemmed your storages and resources to get there. I feel no pity for you and there should be no refund or "lowering of TH 2-3 levels" for anyone that rushed. Suck it up or restart, make better choices next time.

I can totally see what you're saying, someone who has rushed/gemmed their way to this position really hasn't thought about what they're doing and put little to no effort into understanding the game. However coc being popular is important to its survival as a game and so it requires the constant input of non-hardcore gamers to boost it for the rest of us. Let's face it a lot of the forum posts are people complaining about no easy loot available and easy loot is only available from people who don't know or care what they're doing. I for one hope people continue to sign up to coc, rush for a few months then give up so I can gain a few collector raids...
