How to survive while upgrading heros?

I am floating right around 2600 trophies(2550-2650) and I cant seem to 50% any of these TH10 guys when my heros are upgrading. BK-11 AQ-9 are currently both down for upgrades, I cant Balloonian anyone successfully or GoWiPe without the help of my heros. On top of that every since I hit about 2400 trophies ive been on a downward spiral with elixir, with Balloonian its taking me at least 3 or 4 spells every attack to get 50% and with GoWiPe Im still using a ton of spells. With either attack im loosing over 100,000 elixir every attack because of the cost of these armies. Hopefully someone can give me a pointer to turn this around. The only thing keeping me afloat around 2600 trophies is my defense. Here are my troop levels:

Barb - 6
Archer - 6
Giant - 6
Wall Breaker - 5
Balloon - 6
Wizard - 5
Healer - 2
Dragon - 3
Pekka - 5
Minion - 5
Hog Rider - 5
Valk - 1
Golem - 4
Witch - 2

AQ - 9

SPELLS
Lightening - 5
Heal - 5
Rage - 5
Jump - 2
Freeze - 5

Barching with lightning spells? I'm finding some success in M3 doing that, but elixer definitely goes alot slower. Would also help to prioritize on hitting TH10s that are underdeveloped I guess!

Im having horrible luck barching :-/ I keep like 42%ing people.

well barch now is harder compared before due to higher hp of most of the units. i did get to master 3 using gibarching. but i have to pick right bases. well may i know the reason for pushing? if you just want to get the free 1000 gems. might as well suggest do just pure snipe.. you can reach it by sniping alone.

Ive actually gotten the 1000 gems already. I just thought that with the 100,000 elixir / 100,000 gold bonus that staying at at least that trophy level was in my best interest for looting? Im just trying to loot as much as possible. Any suggestions?

Should I drop trophies and farm in a lower league?

If you want to stay up in masters you can loon for 50% without heroes. But you can't just spam loons on 2 sides and pray.

You have to make surgical strikes by dropping a few loons followed up by minions around the base to get the 50%. You can pretty much forget about getting any storages this way but you don't have to use many spells.

Just look for bases with centralized ADs and ITs. It's not easy but it can be done with practice and picking the right base.

I'd try Giant,wizard, archer + heal spell or Giant, wizard,healer,archer (no heal spell). Goes without saying that you need wallbreakers too.

Use 1-2 giants to lure CC ,then attack the base head on going for 1 or 2 of the storage compartments. Giants soak damage and the wizard and archers clean up. I'd recommend going after TH9 and not TH10 because inferno towers destroys giants etc.

If you're TH9 then I can recommend going down to crystal with barch or giants+whatever but if you're TH10 then it's a bit tougher because you'll see a more TH8 in that trophy range.

Learn to loon for 50%. Not very hard since I can pull it off in Champs as a TH9.

It just sucks. I just did my king to level 10 and it was a long long wait. I've never been as tempted to gem something to completion as I was with that. It is just so much easier to get that last little bit for the 50% with him. My trophies took a massive dive down to the upper 1400's. Got him back today and one two hour boost session and back to the mid 1700's. 1700-1900 is where I like to be at the moment.
