I'm going to give you the statistics, then you can give me your opinion.
I am a TH9 with 30 legos and the rest skulls. I have a level 14 archer queen and a level 13 barb king. I have max defence (not traps). I have max troops apart from Valks and Lava Hounds, and I don't have max jump spell. I raid approximately 10-20 times a day.
If you were me, when would you upgrade to TH10?

If you don't WANT to do the walls, don't do them! Don't stay at TH9 for the walls only... go up and have some fun! ;)
