I have received 3 dragons today in my clan castle. I am not sure which is the best way to use them, for defense or for raiding?

Dragons take 20 housing space each and you can't fit more than one of them at a time in your clan castle.
If you have 3 dragons in your clan castle right now… H4cks.

I assume you've used them all on offense since you have received 3 today.
They're great (lvl 2+) during raids if you make sure to take out the AD(s) first.
In my clan, we typically give them to folks when they are about to log for the night and they are EXCELLENT on defense if you don't have a lurable CC and/or if your attacker isn't experienced.
Use em as offense if you need it or are going to be active throughout the day, otherwise save em for when you shut off the game.
Not 3 all at once obviously. C'mon now guys. Use your brain ;)
He/ she means that he/she has gotten 3 dragons that entire day.
