This is what I'm talking about, you're naively comparing apples to oranges. This is almost 2015, are you really trying to compare the indumentary industry with the IT/Digital industry??

With this complacent attitude you're saying we all should be thankful that Facebook exists and shouldn't reclaim anything because it's free.

Unlike Facebook, clash of clans doesn't have ads. I will give them that and I appreciate that they don't make us watch an ad before every attack or something silly like that, which a lot of games do.

But your main point is correct. Supercell already made the game. They never have to make another copy. It costs them nothing for me to download the game. If they were selling shirts, they would have to pay money for every shirt that gets "downloaded". That's the difference.

Obviously they don't legally owe things to their users, but the fact that they DO give us boosts shows that supercell thinks that they owe us. How spoiled and ignorant are you that you think the world's problems are people wanting a 1 gem boost on a phone game for the holidays?

Are people who get Christmas off from work part of the spoiled generation? Is getting a holiday bonus at your job making you spoiled? Is going to McDonald's and expecting a free packet of ketchup something that only spoiled people want?

Having a holiday boost costs Supercell NOTHING. They're just trying to be nice to the users who made them the number one app in the world. It's common courtesy to give people a little something special during the holidays. Just because they don't legally owe you something doesn't mean we shouldn't expect just a small gift from supercell every so often.

In all fairness this boost is fairly useless to a lot of people but the offensive boosts coupled with the lack of gold and dark boost is having an effect on the availability of those resources. A lot more people boosting without a balanced resource boost will do that.

Yes!!! Let's all 2 million clashers meet up at the supercell head office
and complain because we got our barracks boosted for 1 gem and king and queen and spell factory..
don't you just hate when they give us stuff that we want?

And there's nothing wrong with wanting more! That helps the players. I hate doing this argument because it makes me sound like I'm complaining and I'm really not, I don't need a gold boost so I don't care if we got one. I have no problem with the current holiday boost PERSONALLY.

But I understand that other people might want more from the holiday boost. And it just astounds me that people are arguing against stuff that helps other players and puts more resources into the economy.

I don't even know what I'm arguing anymore. I have no problem with the holiday boost the way it is. But some people want more and they should get to voice that opinion if they think they deserve more. And the rest of the community should support them. I joined the forum to help other players. And supporting a 1 gem gold boost helps other players.
